Welcome back to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥 Cool to see you reacting to this song, its even one of SuMetal's favorite from this album. I like the progy elements, that heavy breakdown and the existential questions. There's also a reference to Macbeth in the lyrics besides the obvious lines famously known by Snow White tale. Here's some official info: Mirror Mirror (MIRROR) _Mirror, mirror on the wall...this song embodies a parallel world where the world inside the mirror and the world of reality go back and forth._ _Is what you see in the mirror your true self or the self you wish to be?_ Mirror Mirror was the 5th and final single they released from this new album called The Other One released in March showing us a new sound and a BM side we've never seen before with this metalverse. This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One - Clear Night live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama, last April 2nd with MomoMetal debuting as the new official third member, she was one of the avengers since 2019 and we're all proud of her, but don't think this as a replacement of YuiMetal, she's like a new incorporation to this group for this new lore and metalverse era. Also the BM logo change, it doesn't have the skull and the heart in the B letter, as well there's only three feathers in the logo unlike four prior to this. The Western Kami Band was in charge of these shows but the audio in the official MV is studio album sound. They performed this at the World Tour 2023/2024 and everyone were having a blast with their classic songs and the new ones. Great reaction.🪞🦊🪞This is the official video so, although it was mainly from Clear Night it included a mix of shots from both the BABYMETAL Begins, Black Night and Clear Night concerts, but with the studio audio (live was even better) - when it looked like they were showing reflections of the girls they were actually showing them as they appeared in both shows. On Black Night the costumes were a little darker and Momometal had not yet been revealed as an official member. On Clear Night they had the translucent costumes and Momometal, who was revealed as the new third member at the end of Black Night, finally had her mic and was singing along with Moametal. This was the first time Su-metal has channelled Snow White's step mother, it was also the first time Moametal was heard quoting the witches from Shakespeare's MacBeth.

My struggle this week was Babymetal was performing in my country, I had a ticket, but also was stuck working instead

Nice reaction brother 🔥🤘🦊🤘🔥 I'm an English speaker and prefer when they sing totally in Japanese. I have spent my entire life hearing music in English. Even though I can miss some meaningful parts in some songs the benefit outweighs the not understanding and makes songs sung in any other languages particularly Japanese so enjoyable. The different sound, timing and cadence of other languages is interesting to my ears. Keep on rocking 💥🎸💥

Just FYI, the song "Believing" from the same "The Other One" album as Mirror Mirror (and same tour/show) is sung entirely in English if you're interested in reacting to that. BABYMETAL has four or five songs sung entirely in English - in fact one them is my all time favorite BABYMETAL track - From Dusk Till Dawn - which is just a full on masterpiece of production, vocals, mixing, songwriting, and atmosphere. There is a clip of that too on RU-vid from their 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN shows, which was ten separate concerts held in 2021 at the Nippon Budokan.
