I love that they put the metal back in BabyMetal I'm not a big fan of speed/thrash metal so it sounded busy on the first listen After about ten listens now it's smoothing out I'm enjoying it more

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Where are the guys who said new BABYMETAL was inclined to J-pop side and not heavy enough? They are now understanding that "Difference" and "Diversity" is another name of BABYMETAL. You should not hasten to be judgmental about them. 😄

This goes from Ok this is interesting to wholly f*** that was epic in one shot!! Definitely wasnt expecting such a solid effort here. I mean i always liked BabyMetal as a sort of guilty plesure. This however brings it to a new level for me now. Ladies are giving me a reason to put a bumper sticker in my window & wear it with pride. Album can't release soon enough!🤘🦊💕

Nice reaction. I think it's both of them singing. Mostly because since the 3rd album Moa has been doing more of the backing harmonies. and they have been using less of the back tracks of Su live. Which makes this song feel new. It just doesn't sound vocally like their old songs because of that. for me anyway. and their mature voices make a difference too. Can't wait to see them perform this. Kamiband is going to have some fun playing this song. Enjoy the new album.

I already loved the song. Yet somehow you managed to make me love it even more!😅 The perfect song transports you and takes you on a journey. This song takes me the farthest my mind can go!!😶😪🙂

We had the same vibe with this song the first time I heard it.

I don't necessarily care about how metal or poppy their songs are, but I'm glad they're at least returning to writing songs in a metal structure. You nailed it entirely with your comments on the arrangement - it took 1:45 to get to the end of the first chorus, and it's so nice to hear them go through their progressions on a song and give the song time to breathe, to rise and fall and take us on a journey. I felt that a lot of Metal Galaxy songs were rushed in this aspect, where they were written as pop songs with as many chorus sections as possible in a 3 minute window.

I do not agree it's a new sound for BM. Tales of the Destinies is full of prog riffs and playing with time signatures (complexity of it is the reason they do not play it live). Also, Babymetal Death's riff sounds close to speed metal in the verse. People do usually remember the kawaii part of early BM, but not the amount of metal influences for some reason. Early heavy stuff wasn't so mushy, as nowadays Babymetal. At least studio recording improved after Metal Resistance. Conclusion: early BM was metal diverse, new BM is overall diverse. Looks like Koba ran out of metal genres to explore. Now Djent is Koba's best friend :)

off-topic: 1:57 almost sounds like you put the emphasis on the ass, but I think most English speakers put on the cool ? 🙂

I'd say it's the least boring of their new stuff, especially the opening riff, but I'm still not a big fan. The chorus is so forgettable, I seriously can't remember it after the song is over. You can wake me up in the middle of the night and ask me to sing Karate, and I will do it (badly), but here, I just can't remember it right after I heard it. First time I won't pre-order a Babymetal album, apart from the first album, which already was out when I discovered them.
