Great reaction. All their songs are written with the live performance in mind, they are intended to be seen and heard live and they want the crowd to join in ... a big part of what Moa and Momoko (previously Moa and Yui of course and then Moa and the chosen Avenger) do is to lead the crowd, give them their cue when to jump, shout, sing along or whatever. No the crowd were not told to have their phones ready - in Japan if you have your phone out in a concert you risk being kicked out so on the first night the audience were quite hesitant to do as Su told them, on the second night they did know what to expect. Su has been telling the crowds on the current European tour to do exactly the same thing to help her to "light up this dark, dark world" and all the audiences have been doing just that (sadly not in Copenhagen as the sound failed at this point of the show). It is all part of the BABYMETAL experience - you get all sorts of songs from the fast and heavy, the fun and playful and a slower song or two like this one (but those instrumentals during the second verse are so good too) ... they don't do concerts where they may as well be repeating the same song over and again for an hour and more, they are not that sort of band.
Su asking the crowd to take their phones out seems to currently be part of every live performance of Monochrome. She did it in Stockholm too and people were *very* quick to respond, despite most of them probably not having heard BABYMETAL before and definitely not knowing what happens during Monochrome.
Yeah man this song live kickass, unfortunately yesterday at Copenhagen the sound went off in the middle section right before SuMetal ask to light up this dark world, they couldn't finish the song but they always smile either way and you can even hear SuMetal screaming without the mic cheering up the crowd, they came back after some minutes to finish the show with GC! and ROR, at the end she apologies with everybody and said they will come back with a headline tour. Fans at Copenhagen and Paris were by far the best crowd, moshing and crowd surfing, we'll see the next cities. Thanks for sharing this and see you next time 🦊🤘🌈
This was the first time for the performance of the song. Su telling everyone to pull their phone out confused everyone because they kept telling everyone before the concert to keep your phones in your pocket as no recording was allowed.
Nice one, thanks! As I've said many times "Monochrome" is not among my preferences musically but the song hit me emotionally (no matter what the lyrics are about) and the live performance is just amazing. I love it and I expect to experience it... really soon.
excellent content dude, the first night that call for lights was a pleasant surprise, but since then we all know it's coming, except for Copenhagen yesterday when some stupid hater pulled the plug right before that part, not to worry they found the culprit and after Lordi and Sabaton got done beating his ass, he was thrown in the frog pits per the Queens request, I love a happy ending.
I am sorry for asking a question and bothering you. I don't have any clue because I am not a native English speaker. Please teach me your opinion. The question is how you listen three "KaRa" parts; IRoASeTeKu KaRa (1.27 on your track), SaMeTeShiMaU KaRa (2.47) and YaGaTeASaHaKuRu KaRa. (5.43) When only the first "KaRa" and the second "KaRa" make you hear "color", I will smile in these three parts because a possible hiding meaning of the first and the second can be "color changing into monochrome".
@@xsezz Thank you for answering me. However, I am totally not sure whether my idea is right or not. Thus, I just questioned whether the first and the second “ KaRa” were heard like “color” or not.
@@HS-hl1ji Ohh, sorry my bad. I thought you mean the last "Kara" sounds flatter which makes it more monochrome. But yeah, now that you mention it, it does sound like "color". Huh... that's even more interesting. This song is multilayered in it's meaning. :)
@@xsezz sorry for my bad explanations. “IRoASeTeKu color” nearly means “color changing into monochrome”. “SaMeTeShiMaU color roughly means “color changing into monochrome “. “YaGaTeASaGaKuRu color doesn’t make any sense. Then, you said the third one sounds “color”, isn’t it? Thus, I was wrong, sorry for bothering, and thank you a lot.
@@HS-hl1ji No need to apologize, you did nothing wrong. If anything, I actually learned the meaning of those words thanks to you. Aaah the wonders of technology. :)
