You knew the young SuMetal and her teenage voice, now it's time for her more mature vocals and a new BM side we've never seen before. This was a live compilation from two shows held this year, BabyMetal Returns and BabyMetal Begins. They did a live tour un Europe, Asia and Australia, but more is coming such the US live tour and another return to Europe. Welcome back. BABYMETAL can surprise you like that - they are not like any other band you will have seen or heard. I think you last reacted to 'Akatsuki' about a year ago? That is a Su-metal solo song (she is the lead vocalist) so you didn't see the choreography they have in nearly all their other songs and you didn't see or hear the other members - at that time it was Moametal and Yuimetal, now it is Moametal and Momometal, they were the two other girls you saw this time. The Akatsuki performance you saw was from March 2014 - Su was only 16 then, she is 25 now. She was always a unique and talented vocalist (BABYMETAL was formed around her) and she has just got better and better each year as she has matured. 'Monochrome' is one of their latest songs - it is not the only one of their songs that can pull at the heart strings. It looks like you already have some good suggestions for more songs that you might like. Expect the unexpected - every BABYMETAL song is different to the last.

for some, babymetal's music can be like getting into a swimming pool. you put your toe in first and pull back because it's cold,but as you get in further the water becomes warmer and surrounds you until you're immersed in it. for me, i dove right in and still haven't surfaced. i hope enjoy your swim! i would recommend "road of resistance" live in japan or "akatsuki" the unfinished version. i'm sure you'll get plenty more suggestions.

First off, beautiful smile!! I wish I had that. So even though you may not have ben exposed to this music much (I could be wrong), these ladies are the real deal. Sure there were a number of Metal elitists that complained that they didn’t play the instruments early on (10-13 yers ago), etc…. There is a reason this is one of the, if not the most successful Rock/Metal bands (or really any band) to come out of Japan in the last 50+ years! They are not just a band, but a whole Las Vegas show. Some of the most talented musicians on the planet, supporting one of our generations greatest vocalists, with choreography that actually explains the lyrics. I hope you continue to react to them.

Nice reaction. If you ever get to see some of the early interviews with Babymetal they felt the same way you do about metal. They learned it's not as scary as it first seems, and it can be a fun positive experience. These days Babymetals music does all the things they got out of metal. And from the beginning they wanted to make metal that beginners could get into. They've been achieving that since their first album. And they never for it. On their newest album The Other One. They have a few songs that are light on the metal side of things. It's there but not so in your face loud about it. They also have a few songs that reminds folks they can bring they Heavy when they want to. These are some of the reasons why folks say the foxhole is deep and full of surprises. You never know what the next song will sound like or what it will bring to the table. But there is one thing for sure we do know. Babymetal will do the best performance they can for us. And they love it when the crowd participates in the show. As far as they are concerned the crowd is as much a part of the show as they are. That's why at the end of their shows they say, "We Are Babymetal". And after their positive message songs and up lifting performances we can Just Smile.

4:08 I recognize that smile. We've all been there, and that's the point of no return! Dont worry too much if you don't like heavy music. BABYMETAL's repertoire is ridiculously diverse and I can guarantee you'll find more than 1 song you can vibe or even fall in love with :) I highly recommend for you to check their song THE LEGEND (live performance - black night) or even Time Wave (live as well). 👍 👍 Your first reaction was to a solo by lead vocalist Suzuka Nakamoto and did not feature backing vocalists Moa Kikuchi and Momoko Okasaki who are amazing vocal and choreography talents in their own right. BabyMetal has over 60 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. I am going to leave with you information about them and suggestions. Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old All three girls were friends and classmates who attended an idol school/group (Sakura Gakuin) founded in 2010 by Amuse Talent Agency for girls 10 to 15. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). What sells Babymetal is the Love Su, Moa, and Momo give to their music, dance, and to us. You don't have to love metal to listen to Babymetal as they have transcended the boundaries and have moved beyond to being a "Metal Band"

I have listened almost exclusively to classical music, and even now I am not a fan of metal music. So I am wondering myself why I am here.

Watch their song Shine. another beautiful, magical song which is mellow not metal. It's part of a three song trilogy about dealing with death and change.

Monochrome By Babymetal:- It's really atmospheric which I like. Divine Attack brought the hype and Monochrome brought beautiful vibes. The next single will bring the heavy vibes I hope. Well, this song certainly shows that the few second snippets don't really spoil or give away the songs at all. The chorus with the is catchy, but the drum riffs are the jam for me upon first couple of listens. Since the snippets don't reveal the songs, I'm wondering if the five songs that will be released aren't gonna reveal the final album as a concept album, once released and listened to in full and in sequence, as most concept albums are meant to be listened to. Being that this album is conceptual, and should probably be listened to as a whole and in order, this could be a fun slow-burn reveal to. As of now only two original Babymetal are in the current status, Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-Metal, Main Vocalist) & Moa Kikuchi (Moametal, Backing Vocals). BABYMETAL's goal was to bring Metal to the world. They really wanted show the young (specially female) that Metal was not scary and can be very enjoyable. If you go to a BABYMETAL concert you will find people male/female from 6 years to 70 years attending. Not only is their music diverse but so is their audience. They are a gateway between Metal and pop. One of the best things I discovered about their music is that the lyrics are filled with positivity and perseverance. They have brought me out of depression and helped me these past 5 years upon discovering them. Several of their songs can bring me to tears and I am a 55 year old metalhead. BABYMETAL is a kawaii METAL. Musically, it is a mixture of METAL, J-Pop, and other genres. And BABYMETAL adds kawaii and cool to it. The song is a little quieter.
