from what i understand about First Take is that is exactly what it is. the group comes in to record their song in one take with no other filters. it is true live. the only other song they did this with is Akatski unfinished. i love this song this way even though i love the original also. remember they did The One Stairway to Living Legend. that was also stripped down. you are so right about Su's voice. every reaction i have watched with this song it has made every one almost tear up because Su has an amazing ability to convey emotion like no one else. to see her face and watch her movements makes it for me. i am in no way a singer but i can look at her facial expressions and see how she is doing it and hear in her voice the passion for every song she sings. everybody must love this too because at this time 400,000 views in 9 hours. Su to me is one of the best vocalists out there because she can sing any style and get a reaction with emotion. she can be strong and lead a crowd and then like here she is strong but in a delicate dominate way. she almost forces you to feel the song like she wants you to. very rare you will find a singer that can do this. i have watched her grow and i am so proud of what she has become.

Glad to have you back here. Usually, SU-METAL does not sing with such intonation and moistness because of the roaring sound of the KAMI band. The Akatsuki Unfinished version gives us a legendary performance of the 16-year-old singing on the piano.

Nice reaction! The first take is just a microphone in a room and you get one chance to record. No retakes, no repeats, no fancy effects or extras, simple as that. Su’s voice sounds even more incredible here than in the album recording which comes to no surprise since the album version was recorded years ago as Su said in a recent interview. The closest song to this is probably “Akatsuki unfinished” which gives me the same emotions as this piano version.

Love this Piano version, last time we got a new version it was The One - Stairway To Living Legend, another beautiful ballad. The extra backing chorus dressed in white did a great a job, thou I'm not really sure who might be, maybe they're teasing the third new member? Momoko-Metal most likely.🍑 If any that could also be the new BM mirror unit from another world of this OTFGK Btw afaik "The First Take" channel challenge the guests artists to do an acoustic version with minimal instruments and vocals, no extra effects or filters. Babymetal have done "Piano ver" in past... Look for The One "unfinished" and I believe that No Rain no Rainbow also had a Piano version. The piano version may have been on some of their first singles that were released.

I didn't know what first take was until yesterday either, but everyone was excited about seeing Babymetal on it, so we knew it was going to be good, but I think they blew away all of our expectations.

I love First Take. Alot of artist come and sing their song. either with one instrument or full band. Like the name suggest, they play the song right then and there.

That monochrome is from 2018 was mentioned in an interview with some magazine this week, can't remember which. Akatsuki is made in an unfinished version.

Those three in an instant in war I think it symbolizes girls who have been robbed of their words and future.
