Road of Resistance
BABYMETAL
The light of the smoke signal that dyes the eastern sky bright red
東の空を 真っ赤に染める 狼煙の光が
A new way to signal the end of the darkness of loneliness
孤独の闇の 終わりを告げる 新たな道しるべ
Burn the flames of your heart as many times as you like
くじけても 何度でも 心の炎を燃やせ
Now is the time! Is the time!
Now is the time! Is the time!
Now this moment
今この瞬間を
Is the time! Is the time!
Is the time! Is the time!
live together
共に生きる
Just now is the time! Is the time!
Just now is the time! Is the time!
I'll sing to you tomorrow Now time has come
明日の君に歌うよ さあ 時は来た
Go for resistance! Resistance!
Go for resistance! Resistance!
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow One heart
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow 心はひとつ
If you believe, even if there is no way forward
君が信じるなら 進め 道なき道でも
Forever! Forever!
Forever! Forever!
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow In the depths of my heart
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow 心の奥に
Burning steel soul That is our resistance
燃える 鋼鉄魂 それが僕らの resistance
Wow, wow, wow, wow
Wow, wow, wow, wow
Never turn your back as long as your life lasts
命が続く限り 決して背を向けたりはしない
Today makes tomorrow
今日が明日を作るんだ
Yes our future on the way
そう 僕らの未来 on the way
Resistance! Resistance!
Resistance! Resistance!
Stand up and shout! Justice forever!
Stand up and shout! Justice forever!
If you believe, the answer is here
君が信じるなら 進め 答えはここにある
Forever! Forever!
Forever! Forever!
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow In the depths of my heart
Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow 心の奥に
Burning steel soul Our resistance

Great reaction. This was at Saitama Super Arena in January 2015 with a sell out crowd of over 20,000 people. Su-metal was just 17, Yuimetal and Moametal were still only 15 and already they had everybody involved and singing along (even the people up in the balconies). Herman Li and Sam Totman from the British power metal band DragonForce did the guitar arrangements for this song and played on the recording for the studio album version. The song is about forging your own road, not necessarily going the easy way or following the path already made by somebody else, so if the way you want to go has never been trodden you may have to get past the resistance of the undergrowth, obstacles, hurdles and things blocking your way etc to find your own way. It could easily be used to describe BABYMETAL's own story - they could have followed the well trodden path of J-Pop and been very successful, but they chose to go with Metal ... but again they didn't just follow the same old format of every other metal band, they have done it their own way and it hasn't always been an easy route to follow.

This song has a special place in my heart because it mixes two of my favorite metal bands and what Su said about this song is true even today it still brings people together and we need more of that in today's society

⚡ 💀 💕 / 🏴 🏴 🏴 "Stand up and shout, Shout!, Justice Forever!" - (Road of Resistance) - Su was 17 at this show. Yui and Moa were 15. This was at Saitama Super Arena (SSA) with a sold out crowd of over 20,000. Su first appeared at SSA in 2008 as a member of the J-Pop trio Karen Girl's, when she was 10 years old. She's been back many times since, headlining with BABYMETAL, as well as opening for 'Guns 'n' Roses a few years ago. Ever since she was a little girl, it's been her dream to be a singer.

What Su said about fans around the world being able to sing along with BabyMetal was proven when they performed this song for the first time, which they did in London, UK. Of course, every one there obeyed Queen Su's command and sang it! This performance in Japan is so epic, though. Great reaction again - there's not many Metal bands that make us all smile so much even when they're banging out some high speed Metal. 🦊🤘🤘🦊

Yes you just seen 3 little Japanese teenagers control 20.000 fans they own them from the minute they take to the stage . This performance of the song was at the SSA in Japan a sold out show of around 20.000. The we are BabyMetal bit was longer there are 2 smaller bridges one on left other on right they actually went to each side and shouting we are and getting responce back "BabyMetal". This happens wherever they go in the World . Sold out shows and yes the shows are fun . I have seen lots of bands and listen to lots of Bands but none of them has got me invested as much as BabyMetal. They are a Band that needs to be experienced live because that is what they are an experience . You come away from there shows feeling so happy . Enjoyed your reaction could see how much you enjoyed it in your eyes 🤘🦊🤘 forget to mention get ready for the Ones arrivel 😁

Babymetal's mission is to make people feel and I think they succeeded with you here. This was the song that sold me on BM. I was initially interested by Megitsune way back in 2014 and then saw this definitive performance and became a fan because I ended the song an emotional wreck. They take you from one pinnacle to another and just keep on going. But for me the real hero of this song is the drummer, Hideki Aoyama, I think this song averages over 200 BPM...OMFoxG. The song has a strong Dragonforce vibe because Li and Totman worked on it and play it on the album, but I like this live Kami Band version more. The concert has a great stage set up and the famous Yui leap over Moa during IDZ. "Road of Resistance" is about fighting and resisting even if you can't see the way ahead; that's a common theme for Babymetal songs. At the end of the crowd "wows" I love the combination of the insanely fast guitar riff and the dance sequence that ends with the girls standing strongly and outlined by the lights, that's where I really get the chills. It shows how well the Babymetal team works to bring together music, singing, dancing and stage and lighting design.

Nice & thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。The crowd involvement (mosh pit, call & response, chant etc.) breaks out wherever they go on this planet. In your video, Su shouted some words at 11:03 meaning "Bring them on!". Fans analyzed that the provocative shout was thrown at people who had been ignoring, underrating, mocking, hating and even trying to discredit BABYMETAL. That shout may have been necessary in 2015 but not any longer. She shouted it rarely since then. Last year (2021), on the final day (April 15) of 10 BABYMETAL BUDOKAN concerts, Su shouted the same words in the end-all of the show. She did it smilingly with matured, mild and friendly voice. It meant, I believe, "come on guys!" The audience smiled her back. I was there at the venue ヽ(^o^)丿

Did you notice that all of Su's calls to the Japanese audience were in English. Su, Yui and Moa have this level of audience control where ever they are including at music festival's where the audience isn't necessarily a Babymetal audience. Charisma at an unbelievable level.

when Rob Zombie was asked about the first time he saw them perform, he said: "I saw them the other day for the first time. I mean, I'd seen videos and stuff, but I saw them live for the first time the other day, and I just loved it; it was like nothing I had ever seen before. I mean, it was just like… Leave it to the Japanese to find a way to make fucking death metal cute. But it was awesome. And the crowd… The crowd was going fucking apeshit. The amount of crowdsurfing and stage diving and just complete mayhem, which made it even funnier, 'cause it's three cute little girls doing fucking karate on stage and shit, and these guys [that are backing them] are dressed like ghosts, all in white. It's the most bizarre fucking thing. It's totally worth watching; it's so good."

Japan is killing it in the rock and metal genres. Babymetal and Band-Maid are absolute legends that you can spend a lot of time doing a deep dive on. There's also a new superband where ladies from different bands came together to form Nemophila. They are releasing their first album this month and they are the "next big thing" coming out of Japan. I highly recommend digging in on these three bands. Here's a link for Nemophila Dissention ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-26aMuahxz8c.html

The meaning of the song is in what Su-metal said, because it describes what they do: the struggles of Babymetal and bring people together. Babymetal often have these theme of bringing people together and positive encouragement to keep going, I sometimes wonder what the origin is: is it their idol/j-pop background or is it because Su-metal was born and raised in Hiroshima and has a desire to bring people together through singing/music.

"Coloring the Eastern sky deep red, the light of the signal fire marks the end of the darkness of solitude. Let it guide you anew. No matter how many times you are beaten and broken let the fire in your heart rage! Now is the time! This moment right now is the time! We're in this together! I sing for the you of tomorrow. Ah, the time has come! Go for resistance! Resistance! Our hearts are one. If you believe, you can push forward and blaze the trail! Forever! Forever! The Metal Spirit burns in the depths of our hearts! It is our resistance." Hi Pandora, good reaction! Road of Resistance is a song about literal resistance, where the path you've chosen in life is not the easy one and roadblocks keep being put in your way. The girls are urging us to believe in ourselves and push forward against the resistance. In fact they share that their own resistance was choosing the path of metal music where surely a career in jpop would have been much easier for them, but they stuck it out and have pushed beyond because they believed. They want us to do the same.

Road of Resistance Saitama Super Arena (SSA):- "Road of Resistance" is a song by the Japanese Kawaii metal band Babymetal. The song was released worldwide as a digital single on February 1, 2015 by Toy's Factory, serving as the lead single off the international re-release of the album Babymetal, as well the opening track from Metal Resistance. "Road of Resistance":- •Single by Babymetal. •Album: Metal Resistance. •Language: Japanese, English. •Released: February 1, 2015. •Genre: Kawaii metal, power metal. •Length: 5:19. •Label: BMD Fox, Toy's Factory, Sony Music Entertainment. •Composer: Mish-Mosh, Norimetal, Kyt-metal. •Lyricist: Kitsune of Metal God, Mk-metal, Kxbxmetal. •Producer: Kobametal. •Kyoto: (arrangement). Babymetal singles chronology:- •"Megitsune" (2013). •"Road of Resistance" (2015). •"Gimme Chocolate!!" (2015). Background and release:- "Road of Resistance" includes guest appearances by DragonForce guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman. The song would be used to mark the beginning of the band's lore, Metal Resistance Episode III, at the concert held on November 8, 2014 at O2 Brixton Academy in London, which was also the final tour date for the band's Babymetal World Tour 2014. A trailer for the song was released on January 5, 2015, integrating footage from the debut performance of the song in London. The song was first released as a digital bonus track off the live album Live at Budokan: Red Night, with limited editions of the album containing a download card with a code to download the song at no additional charge. The song was later released as a dedicated digital single on the iTunes Store on February 1, 2015. Li and Totman are featured on guitars, although they are listed as featured artists in various regions of the re-release of the album Babymetal, on which the song appears as a bonus track, mainly in the United Kingdom. Composition:- Rolling Stone described the song as "power metal" with "shiny pop harmonies". Rock Sound called the song "everything we’d expect from [Babymetal] with a bit of Dragonforce’s exhilarating, flame-fingered guitar added in for good measure." Matt Evans of The List called the song an "empowering hyperspeed anthem". According to Kadokawa, the song consists of twin shred guitars courtesy of Li and Totman, with a dynamic sound derived of melodic speed metal. The lyrics are described as a narrative on the Metal Resistance, which the band adopted on their world tour. It has also been considered the "final stage" of Babymetal and the prologue to Metal Resistance, and a transition performance that demonstrates the band's growth from the previous album. According to Su-metal, the song refers to the Metal Resistance lore, described as "the story of Babymetal traveling across the world in the hopes of creating a new metal to unify the world as we break through the barriers of language and borders. In the middle of the song there is a part where we go, ‘Wow, Wow’ and this is where our fans from around the world can sing with us at our concerts. I hope people will listen to our album and support us at our shows." Yuimetal stated in an interview with Metal Hammer that "Road of Resistance" is her favorite song from Metal Resistance, explaining that it "has been performed at so many concerts, so a lot of memories are jam-packed. The lyrics are positive, the sound is so cool, and [the] dance is so powerful." •Recorded by Watametal and Adrian Breakspear. •Mixed by Ettore Rigotti Personnel:- •Suzuka Nakamoto (Su-metal) - Main vocals. •Yui Mizuno (Yuimetal) - Backing vocals. •Moa Kikuchi (Moametal) - Backing vocals. •Kei Kobayashi (Kobametal / Kxbxmetal / Kitsune of Metal God) - executive producer, lyrics. •Miki Watanabe (Mk-metal) - lyrics. •Norikazu Nakayama (Norimetal) - music. •Nobuaki Miyasaka (Mish-Mosh) - music, arrangement. •Sari Miyasaka (Mish-Mosh) - music, arrangement. •Keiji Kusama (Kyt-metal) - music. •Kyoto - arrangement. •Leda - bass (Kami Band) •Herman Li - guitar (courtesy of Electric Generation Recordings Ltd. and Warner Music Japan Inc.) •Sam Totman - guitar (courtesy of Electric Generation Recordings Ltd. and Warner Music Japan Inc.) Saitama Super Arena:- "Saitama Super Arena (さいたまスーパーアリーナ, Saitama Sūpā Arīna) is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in Chūō-ku, Saitama, Saitama Prefecture, Japan. It opened preliminarily on May 5, 2000, and then officially opened on September 1 of the same year. Its spectator capacity is 36,500 at maximum settings,[3] making it the second-largest indoor arena in the world. The main arena capacity is between 19,000 and 22,500". •Owner: Saitama Arena Corp. •Capacity: 36,500 (stadium setting) 18,000 (arena setting). The arena was designed by Dan Meis, who at the time was working for architecture firm Ellerbe Becket, together with Nikken Sekkei. Meis's design was selected as a result of an international design competition. The arena features a gigantic movable section of seating which can reduce capacity for smaller events and create a more intimate setting. It is a favorite venue for puroresu (Japanese professional wrestling) and mixed martial arts (MMA). It has also hosted other sports events such as boxing, basketball, volleyball, tennis, ice hockey, and gymnastics. It is the only Japanese arena equipped especially for American football. It formerly housed the John Lennon Museum, which displayed John Lennon memorabilia and closed in 2010. I suggest that you use the links below From the Babymetal Reactor Resource ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-q40VmTHSh4c.html Going forward, if reactors want to keep reacting to the videos, I've come up with a solution that will make it possible to continue using the videos with logos that have already been tested against blocks. I've made a spreadsheet - docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ZYdthVAHYaOAYL6AuhVOHotQinMoPPFEuspqDMIIGD4/edit#gid=0 with links to both the logo videos and the non logo videos and are hosing them on a Russian social media site that won't remove them, and is out of the reach of the copyright trolls. There are a bit over 30 videos on there now, but I'll keep uploading more every day until they're all back up. I'll also be adding new videos that I'll test on an alt RU-vid account before adding to the spreadsheet. If you can't access the spreadsheet for whatever reason, here are direct links to both the non logo videos and the videos with logos: No logos - ok.ru/video/c6630874 With logos - ok.ru/video/c7184602 For reactors that want to put your own logo over the videos, here is a link to the logos I use that are already made transparent - drive.google.com/file/d/1JUVfJGp36xR2n1FHl7PzRIxXhA5P4VyW/viewor you can use whatever logo you'd like. You can download the videos, which I recommend since the site can be a bit laggy sometimes, from this free website - sovid.net/ I recommend using the "HD" option when downloading to keep the file size reasonably small. Although there are other videos on my channel there, only use the ones on the spreadsheet because some of the other non logo videos aren't RU-vid safe. Kitsunes UP!

Great reaction again; your facial expressions were speaking for you =). Babymetal is always creating their shows with their audience. They are not simply playing their set and walking off. They actually appreciate every person who comes to their show and gives 110% on stage to make it the best experience with them. That's why they are encouraging the crowd to sing certain lines or making big waves as they did in the 10 Budokan shows last year when the crowd wasn't allowed to sing, shout, Su is asking for mosh'sh pits (big circles) or Moa asking them to bow down during "Headbanger." It must be an incredible experience, and I can't wait to go to Japan and experience it myself!
