She got her own Mic on the 2nd show.

Well, from what I was learning lately about Yui, I don't think she'll return to the entertainment industry anymore 🤔 I stopped following Babymetal even before Yui left, I found out that time tho, I felt kinda sad... And recently I'm watching them again and I really like the addition of Momo-metal 😅

Changing the logo is consistent with the theme running through the lore at Black Night/Clear Night about ending the Metal Resistance era and moving in the new Metalverse era. They are drawing a very clear and deliberate line under what has been before and they are now moving forward in a new form and a new direction, and the new logo marks that change.

Yui's been gone for as long as she was in the group. It's time to let her go.

@@Guysm1l3y Can you even math bro? Babymetal started in 2010 and Yui left in 2018. If my calculations are correct, it is 2023 meaning she left 5 years ago, but she was a part of the group for 8 years. She obviously hasn't been gone as long as she was in the group now has she?

Yui herself decided to leave. Now Momo has joined, it makes sense to reinvent the group because you want her to be welcomed in the group instead of feeling like an outsider. Considering Babymetal has been around for 13 years with two of the original members remaining in the whole time, it would be very challenging for the newcomer if they didn't adapt to welcome her in because if they don't, she is going to be shafted pretty big. She is joining a band 13 years old. Even if she was a member of Sakura Gakuin, it wasn't until Babymetal completely split off from it and she didn't perform with the Babymetal members in the group meaning she needs to "be accepted" properly if that makes sense.

It was wonderful. Momometal was smiling for the entire show!

@@marrble4166 Good morning from Japan. There were two-day shows on April 1 & 2 at a venue called "Pia Arena MM" in Yokohama, Japan (near Tokyo). On Day-1 : At the very end of the show, Momoko was announced as "Momometal" with a role of "Scream & Dance" (same as Moametal). The announcement was made by a recorded voice. On Day-2 : Momometal showed up with mic and twin pigtails. The three girls were in totally new outfit. Original BMD (BABYMETAL DEATH) was played as 13th song in the total 14-song setlist. Momometal declared herself for the first time shouting "Momometal death".

In Japan, April 1 is the start of the new school year (aka nendo). The typical business fiscal year is April through the following March. Contracts and leases commonly run likewise. It is the time for new beginnings as fixed onto the modern Western calendar.

They introduced a new young unit, Japanese fans are now calling them "Chibi Babymetal" or "Little Babymetal". Miko Todaka (16) - vocal Sakia Kimura (14) - dance and scream Kokona Kato (13) - dance and scream They sing and dance Babymetal songs along with the senior Babymetal members. The concepts are PARARELL UNIVERSE and REINCARNATION. You can think of BABYMETAL as roles, not personalities. As such, they can keep going infinitely.

@@mikepowers9486 They will appear in Japan, at least initially. After all they have to go to schools. I don't think they are temporary. Their roles will grow, especially since some of Babymetal songs are no longer appropriate to the grownups.

I guess, why not? She deserves it. She has been touring with them for quite some time now. Babymetal has been a trio group ever since and I think rewarding Momoko of the spot is cementing her legacy with the band. If it's not Momoko, then who should it be?

@@nekoneko-jd It's not good!!!! With Momoko joining, I feel like BABYMETAL's charismatic coolness has been lost. It cast a chill over me and at least my fever has cooled.
