Welcome back to the Foxhole.🦊🤘🔥 Although it is a 50/50 collab song i guess it's on BM channel since they were the first one on making contacts with EC and taking the initiative pushing this collab. This single reached Number 1 best selling single in the US Billboard rock/metal chart for the first time for both bands! If you see comments talking about how cool was one of the singers turning around at the end, that's a reference to a video reaction they did last week. But the one who really looks cool are oc the ladies striking a pose near the end which is also the pose they used when performing live right from the beginning.💃 Last weekend of May they played this song at FOX_FEST Festival in Japan along with Electric Callboy, everyone went bonkers with this awesome collab of the year and hit of this summer. They also released the official live if you don't wanna stop and keep pushing it to the limit. They also played together once again at Rock Im Park in Germany twice, one during EC show and the other one during BM show wearing cool new outfits. After that they played again at Rock Am Ring and we already got cool proshot clips. Last weekend they finished the Europe Tour and once again with both groups playing this song twice at Resurrection Fest in Spain making everyone going wild. Polyphia were also at FOX_FEST playing a set and the guitarists Tim Henson and Scott Le Page played together with BM the song Brand New Day, they're special guest in the album version, they were looking for this since a very long time ago and also fans waited for this. We already got an official live MV released recently if you wanna check that out. BabyMetal just needs to collaborate with EVERYBODY. I'd listen to Meshuggah feat. BabyMetal. I'd also listen to Taylor Swift feat. BabyMetal. Maybe not Cardi B because that's not music, but... Country, hip-hop, rap, classical music, I want BabyMetal in ALL OF IT.
You have to react to the other Babymetal collab with F.Hero and Bodyslam (both thai groups), you can found the video in the F.hero YT channel, the song is called "Leave it all behind". I think you will like, they mix so good together. Is not the first collab with F.Hero, remember they did in the song "Papaya", but it is with Bodyslam, one of the best thai rock groups.
Welcome back. With EC and BABYMETAL collaborating this was never going to be anything other than fun. They've clearly really enjoyed all the live performances they've done together as well.🤘🦊
Nice reaction to what is a fun song & video. Logical next step is the Live At Fox Fest 2024 version which if anything is even better because as we know BabyMetal always kill it live.
Well the song is a 5ü /50 Collab and this obviously true. Ekectric Callbox delivered the basic structure but a lot of the finer structures are from Babymetsl, and in the Breakdown this is even more obvious. Kevin Momo share the growls with each other.😢
The genre is called "Banger". End of story.🤣 They are for like a decade in the business. Always hard working and great music. They deserve the success they getting now.
At FOX_FEST (both days) they performed it during BABYMETAL's set, but not during Electric Callboy's set. They did perform it during both sets at some of the European festivals in June.
Thanks from Japan 有難う💛. BABYMETAL will return to USA and go on tour from Nov. thru Dec. to perform 18 concerts at 15 venues. I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. There were many mosh / circle pits over there 😄. On Day-1, the girls and Nico / Kevin hugged each other (then group hug) to celebrate the success of the live debut (heartwarming!!) ★ You can find the official LIVE video in RU-vid !! The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. Now the 3 girls and 2 boys are doing this song with EC band in EC shows and with Kami Band in BM shows, in two ways, in some European festivals 💛。(including Rock Im park / Rock Am Ring)
the "are you ready?" part that Kevin screams the other "are you ready?" is Momo. and they all scream "LET'S GO" together. and then the "EVERYBODY" is also still Momo. she's so cool
I didn’t notice any similarity in the melody here to any other song until you said something. The immediate song I went to that I think it comes closest is Cascada’s “Everytime We Touch”, but I could be wrong. I have never listened to a huge amount of EDM or techno music, but some I’ve caught and I feel like that’s the melody it sounds similar to. I could be way off and imagining it just because of the female singer similarity, but it’s the first one that came to mind once I started listening for it.
It was a 50/50 collab, according to an interview with Su, they wanted a song in the spirit of "We got the moves", reached out to EC and they accepted the offer. According to both of them It needed 22-23 versions before they came to an agreement. (Exact is not clear, because the statet different numbers in different interviews)
Well it is nearly impossible to make a tone, that was never heard before. But another Collab right now between them both. It wouldn't work. Right know they have to find zheir own role Momo was integrated just last year, they have to find out what they can do together and with other artists. Nearly every Collab showed new elements that they could improve. While Momo was a member since 2019 she was most of her time silent she first had to learn their dances. Only then could they slowly start to inzegrate her voice. They don't have an Album yet where Momo could sing, her biggest achievements right now are their ollabs.

Best collab of 2024 in my opinion What I love most, is seeing BabyMetal being so fun and silly with Kevin and Nico and it’s not only wholesome but it’s great. SIDE NOTE… are you going to react to the new TWO SONGS BY ALL THAT REMAINS? They are called Divine and Let You Go, they are bangers, highly recommend

The memory of the melody you might have is Vengaboys. After another reactor mentioned this, I listened to the best-known songs again. I can't find much there, except maybe 1-2 cords, but it's also hard to write a song without using cords that might have been there before. Let's remember the 4 cords doctrine here :D Apart from that, the song is simply a banger. Summer hit 2024, for me.
Babymetal now has their own growler too. You can see/hear her mixed with Kevin's harsh vocals in spots. She does the second "Are you ready?", and both "Everybody"s.
Thanks for your reaction and thoughts. It may not be your genre but if you want to see big budget music videos, many K-Pop videos are amazing. i may not always enjoy the music but the budget for the videos is there to see.
This song apparently started life as an attempt by Babymetal to do a song in the style of Electric Callboy, but it wasn't working so they decided to simply ask Electric Callboy to work with them. They met late last year when Babymetal attended EC's show in Boston and they met backstage and got talking about doing a collab together, and Ratatata was the result. They played it live for the first time at FOX_FEST in late May, and they have performed it again a few times at festivals on the European summer festival circuit. They seem to really like performing together, so I wouldn't be surprised if there is another collab in the future.

If you're not finding good videos with high production values, you're probably not spending enough time in the European metal scene. Amaranthe is one example who have been putting out amazing videos for over a decade, and almost every Napalm artist as well (and we won't even get into Nanowar of Steel).
