This does feel like Halloween because originally they were supposed to debut last fall but then it got delayed so they had to drop something and chose batter up. It makes complete sense the direction this mini album was gonna take. It was smart of YG to hold on to this until Ahyeon came back for official debut of the team as he said.

Rami's voice is mesmerizing! Ahyeon is back and is showing why she is the all arounder. The Thai line's vocals were heavenly and Rora was flowing. Ruka killed it as always, and Asa will always be my bias from her presence to her delivery!

SHEESH !! ... A song full of rollercoaster of sounds, light instruments vs heavy grand orchestra, whispers vs powerful belts, very low vs skyhigh notes, creepy vibe vs cool rap trios, everything musics in just one song. Babymonster is really outstanding monsters.

Rora and chiquita on the intro, the trios(ruka, asa, ahyeon), rora and rami on the bridge, especially rami tone there, the whispering on the outro, chorus could be better...and yes thats hyunsuk, he wrote ruka and ahyeon rap, asa is credited for her own rap...ahyeon high notes by the way... this dark concept suit them, if only yg can exploit this monster concept with other various historical forms/concept and all and good chorus and writing then i can see the girls flourishing with this genre, they will eventually find their tone too if they keep at it❤

The chorus is so good and since the vocals and rap feels full in the other part of the song, the empathy chorus doesn’t feel like it’s lacking anything
