i think YG trainees have always been singing english songs even before kpop blew up in the west and i think that avoids comparison with senior idols, in a way. in case with leejung, she seems to enjoy dancing more and creating contents with different people since it allows more freedom and less pressure from the public unlike idols.

1:31:25 YG artists talked about this before. They only sing English songs in evaluations bc it's a way for them to practice their English and because there are more hard-to-sing English songs that can fully show off their vocals. So it's like another challenge to them how to give the English song their own flavor.

I'm a Blink, but I've been waiting for the Babymoster's debut for a long time! And I don't compare anyone with each other because I think all the participants of BlackPink and Babymoster are insanely talented. One thing is for sure YG knows what they're doing, and they know talent. These girls are all so talented and have so much potential. I'm really curious and excited on what YG's plan with them is. These girls definetly have Blackpink as their role models and have worked with the girls, and the same teachers/team/producers so its inevitable that there is gona be some similarities but I can't get over how much Ahyeon gave me Jennie vibes and Chiquita, Lisa vibes.

Yess Asa sounds a legit rapper. She was born to be one of great rappers in kpop.

Baby Monster did kick off with 11 girls 4 to 5 years ago. The early girls put out by YG did have Americans and Chinese girls in the original lineup but none have made the final 7 lineup. The final piece that finally launched Baby Monster was the discovery of Chiquita into the YG training programme. 4 months into training and YG knew they had the final Baby Monster puzzle, a year into training and YG launched. Chiquita is a Baby Lisa, with the additional benefit of amazing vocals.

Pharita is born in August 26, 2005🇹🇭💖💘(her nickname is pear) - The winner of street dance junior from IDOL WORLD DANCE CUP in korea - she is MISS POPULAR VOTE(miss teen thailand) - Talent kids & teen 2018 - ASIA JUNIOR FASHION RUNWAY 2018 - Grand prize, Shell international fashion show 2019 in China - Cash asian pacific Art Fest 2019 - Global fashion show 2019 And her pronunciation in english is so goood cuz she learning in international school in thailand!💘

Glad you enjoyed it overall and where able to endure the presence of YG himself ;) My favorites from those 7 members would be Rora (because of how she conveys emotions with her voice, her best performance is in Last Evaluation) and Ruka (because of her quirky chaotic personality, she covers 2NE1 solo in Last Evaluation btw) but all of them are great. At first I wondered about the big age gap from Ruka to the rest, but after seeing her youthful personality, she seems to fit perfectly with the rest of them. Of course I would love if you also at some point before their debut find time to watch the 3rd playlist (Last Evaluation, Debut Member Announcement and Pre Debut Releases) that I made for you. You could shorten the needed time and only watch the performances from Last Evaluation (They are seperatly available on their RU-vid). Of course you would miss a lot of behind the scenes including coaching from Jenny and Lisa. If that is still to much of a time commitment, I suggest to watch at the very least their MV for their Pre Debut Song "Dream" (3:15 min, Patreon only since that one often gets blocked on RU-vid) and the members reaction to YG announcing who made it into the group (10:09 min, video is also in my 3rd playlist). Those two videos would perfectly fit into a request... Just saying... ;) Of course there is more, but with that you would be perfectly prepared for their debut :D Regardless, thx for this long and entertaining reaction :)

Lol Asa didn't come to YG loving rap. She's a dancer. But they they saw her potential for rap and cultivated it. That's what they did with Jennie and Lisa too. But when they debuted, they didn't really let them run free with it for some reason. @1:17:05 YG has always been targetting the global market, have more English lyrics/music, and training their trainees with English songs. It's just later that other companies saw how lucrative that can be that they starting doing that as well.

Blackpink lisa and jennie were trained how to rap in YG. On that you are spot on! Chiquita was recently taught how to rap. YG mentioned that earlier this year. Asa was taught too. Ruka entered YG with her rap skills and yg trained her to perfection. She has that YG vibe down a 100%

Keep in mind, Prince, the only 2 members fluent in English are Pharita and Ahyeon so you can imagine how good these ladies are to be able to sign in English and capture the emotion, especially are their young ages.

Just to clarify there’s no updates about official positions yet. There’s only what some fans think or assume tbh. All the girls are legit aces/all rounders do not be fooled by their intro videos. As for leader, there’s really only like 2 or 3 members that exude leadership qualities maybe 4.. that’s Ruka, Ahyeon, Asa, and Haram. Everything else like main vocalists or main rapper ..center.. main dancer is all up in the air at the moment. It could even be two ppl as mains haha. Honestly, it also depends on the kind of music they’ll be debuting with and their image/concept.

Papa YG is a member of a legendary group. He built a great agency with a great artists. Have a very strong vision and knows his job well. The only one that pays the right and support his artists behind the scene. He helps them even when they leave. Always gives copyrights to stage names and all songs to departed artists.This is why all artists are still friends with him. People see only what someone wants them to see.

So here's the thing about teen idol debuts, it is a complicated issue and it is hard to make blanket assertions about what is right or wrong. I think we all agree that the KPop industry has long had young trainees and sometimes there can be abuse and toxicity around the process. And it is not justification to point out that these practices are common in the every culture's music industry, Japanese idol groups and American pop music have also always debuted teenagers (anyone heard of Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, Micheal Jackson, or "Little" Stevie Wonder?). Another issue is that these teens are generally ambitious in pursuing their dreams of becoming an idol and this is usually supported by their (mostly affluent) families. The question is whether these kids are protected by their families and by the companies, or are they mistreated and exploited as a product. We know this does happen, but we also know companies that value talent and treat them as prized performers. It is hard to deny the trainees ambitions and if they don't get an opportunity at one company, they will pursue their dreams with another. The only right answer is that pressure needs to be maintained on the companies to train and nurture their talent in a non-exploitative way while still providing them with the strength and emotional fortitude to deal with the media and fans which can be quite toxic. No one has an issue with Taylor Swift debuting at 15 or Grace Vanderwaal at 12, so why with Chiquita at 14 even though she pursued this career in a child's group in Thailand before auditioning for YG and following in her Thai idol older brother's footsteps. Babymetal debuted when they were 12-13 and have had global success yet no one claims they were exploited. It isn't about the age, but about how they are treated by the company

Jennie pre debut is such a monster. And YG trained them to also write songs, but sadly YG stop showcasing more of her rap talents and did not give the Blackpink the opportunity to produce own songs, And i agree Asa sounds like a legit rapper. Her delivery flow is so unique from other YG girl rappers. And she'll be one of the greatest rappers in kpop only if YG will not do to her same things as what she did to Jennie .

Actually if you dig deeper, Lisa and Jennie are that kind of rapper. People only perceived them as mediocre rapper because that's what yg introduced them to the public and that's not even their 100% true form. If you look at their evaluation clips, most of their songs are dark. And also baemon and bp have only one rap trainier. If only yg will publish all their monthly evaluations especially that they are the ones who wrote all their rap verses. Also fyi, Jennie auditioned as a rapper 😊

With regard to Jennie rapping, as I recall Jennie said that during training someone, perhaps it was a producer, said to her "you speak English pretty fast so you should try rapping".

Debut officially announced November 27th! Can't wait!! Their announcement was announced right on cue accompanied by a scandal 2 days previous! So happy for these girls!

Trainee Jennie rapping fast rap songs like asa. You can watch some clips. And i expect them to have slower raps too especially in their comeback songs coz they have to dance, sing and rap. Yg even said to asa to practice slow rap coz it's obvious you can't rap that fast and hard while performing. But hope once they have their solo she gets to have her rapping moment

🤨 came here go watch but heard ignorance from the getgo... 1, gdragon didnt leave , he didn't sign new contract yet. So idk where you get info from but please read official statements. No drugs found in his lab results either. 2, YG isjust too damn nice. Artist like yedam take advantage of YG because they don't sign loans to trainees or artist. If they want leave they can. Other agencies have lawsuits and ugly internet battle/ smear campaign. 3. Blackpink signed as a grooup, solo can be signed with other agencies. I doubt they will go far tho , their sound is YG. Mayb TBL is best solution. 4. Lack of music? Treasure had 2-3 comeback this year, blackpink wrapped up their tour and deserve rest! Winner, 2 members are off to military. Akmu just had a comeback. YGFAMILY has been doing this for 27years 2 things did change... *1.TREASURE they are extremely well promoted due to their debutd condition ( covid, yg scandals). *2. A girlgroup member in BABYMONSTER is already in producer mode. Thats unheard off in YG. For boys,Treasure more than 3 were involved in production during debute.

there's no official positions yet, but the only ones we know for sure is about who is gonna be main dancer, and we all know that is gonna be Ruka, and maybe Asa too, and also main rapper is gonna be Asa, and maybe Ruka too

Consider not judging YG’s video hastily. YHS manages artist while the company is overseen by executives; board members and investors have a say in decision-making. YGE’s approach differs from others who produces idol factory-like. They focus on equipping their idols for success (creative freedom, music education, mental and physical well-being). I would prioritize research over hearsay and trends, I know lately it’s been a trend to blame everything on one guy when there’s really a team of management who runs the company. Challenges exist in all agencies, not just theirs, or in Korea even if it’s not prominently highlighted as YGE. I hope your contents will be non bias.

After hearing and knowing the skills of these members, I can't blame YG why he wanted to debut these girls already eventho their age is just 😅 and can be used to attack the group too. You literally haven't even saw Blackpink as a trainee, Lisa and Jennie is the best during their days and they make their own lyrics when they have monthly evaluation and Lisa always got A in every categories, you should watch some of their leaked performances during trainee days, they work harder than these girls but you just underestimate Blackpink just because you haven't seen them thrive and work hard, you have no right to judge them and you literally know nothing lol, stop assuming things and stop talking nonsense, and if you will talk about other group, you should never bring another group just so you can compare the two

they are improved in every area. geez , they have the best vocal line (over nmixx and aespa) , rap line (tied with xg) , arguably dance line in gen4/gen5 kpop without even debuting. ahyeon , rora in the future and maybe haram are the only one that could go toe to toe with lily. asa when she develops and ahyeon could reach seoyeon level. sorry not sorry.

Jennie and Asa aren't Rappers when they audition. Jennie audition as Vocal and Asa audition as Dancer. Both of them are ACEs of YG and their designated position that company gave them is RAPPER which during their trainee they ACE it not only in rapping but also stage presence. You can go back to Jennie's pre debut where she slayed every monthly evaluation tho. Many rappers in YG are not actually born or into "rap" just like Haruto from treasure he audition as dancer and now he is god rapper. In fact, u can watch Mixnine a survival show under YG. Which most of all vocalist tried their luck learning as rapper and become ace on it under supervision of YG. Meaning to say, when it comes to RAPPER, YG is good at it. Same like how SM good at vocals.

Lee Jung once mention that she only has passion for dancing and thus does not want to pursue the path of an idol. All YG trainees go thru the same course of training, self written raps lines or songs are common, all type of dance style including aggresive krump style, ofcos each trainee excel to different varying degree but they pretty much follow the same full course.

same i hate yg but you cant deny the fact that he sees talent to each individual. We may hate YGE in some aspect but choosing talent and see potential is their forte!! You can enter YG with ur so called visual but without talent you can't last long.
