The mini-album is supposed to release 4/1. When YG announced the return of Ahyeon he also stated that Batter-Up and SITM will be rerecorded with all members for the album release.

The song is just so calm that makes me wanna cry for no reason😭 in which it also showcase there unique vocals compared to batter up. Stuck in the middle is a pre release so it's understandable that ballad as for sure they will go all out for the actual comeback. I really can't wait for the comeback this April + Ahyeon's return FIGHTING BABYMONSTER!!❤👏👏
They are not actually promoting this song in public just like batter up cuz ahyeon is not in it. They going all out when the title track and mini album in April.
Recycled? Batter Up was supposed to be an homage to their senior YG groups. YG himself explained this prior to its release. It was what it was supposed tp be. They have 3 songs now and only Batter Up follpws this "formula" YG antis complain about. Yet, these antis' fave groups have stereotypically overproduced vocals and all sound the same...boring. Most of 2NE1, BP, and Bigbang don't follow this "formula"...only their pre releases whoch are meant to be bangers.
Okay haha. It was what it was supposed to be and some people loved it... and some of us didn't. That's okay. I understand what the intention was, but I didn't want my first look at the group to be homage to other groups. But they weren't making their debut FOR ME so that's fine 😅🤣😂
I think you'll agree with me when I say visuals are stunning, vocals are angelic, performance delivered and they captured the emotion of the song despite being so young, and the sets and production were outstanding.

From 2NE1 to BABYMONSTER it's always been HIPHOP first than ballet. - 2NE1- FIRE & Lonely - BLACKPINK Whisle & STAY - BABYMONSTER- Batter up & Stuck in the middle. Catchy songs make more impact. It sets the bar high in terms of beats and hints for future artistic colour of the group.The number of views and tiktok dance covers speak volumes. Then YG removed any trace of YG vibe ( impossible lol) to show a different side. Hope you understand for future YG debutes❤ ❤
Yeah, I definitely understand this. I was reacting to the music, NOT the agency. I don't want to see "is this a good YG song/video" but "is this a good song/MV, OVERALL?" I don't have an issue with a group doing a hip hop concept as a debut - I think that's really fun! And 'Batter Up' was a fun song. But I just don't love the idea of YG basically giving us a rebrand of their past groups as an introduction. I don't think baemon needs to do ballads like 'Stuck In The Middle' to be good, BUT I just liked the fact that this felt so uniquely like THEM. They could have done heavy, hip hop-ish, girl crush concept that still felt like BABYMONSTER, but I don't think they did that with 'Batter Up.' It didn't feel like something new.
This song wont be promoted from YG either because they will only be heavily promoting from April 1st when their mini album release with Ahyeon joining back ❤ but this song is beautifully done now imagine Ahyeon also in it soon 🎉
The girls sounded absolutely gorgeous and ethereal I’m glad they got a song to showcase their vocals I liked Batter Up but I’m glad they got a song that’s different from the typical YG sound we got from YG artists and hope we get to see more sides to them. Ahyeon will return she’s currently re-recording her lines for Batter Up & Stuck in the Middle they’ll also will release their 1st mini album in April and their 1st full album around the fall so somewhere around September-November so can’t wait for the albums and see Ahyeon with the rest of the girls and see your reaction to it.😊💚
I got lots and lots of hate for saying this in your batter up reaction but as I said, if you guys don't know YG then why are you even judging them? I said YG will give babymonster their own space and sound but as YG does with EVERY new group's debut song, they did with batter up and as always many new people are on the hate train without even giving both YG and Babymonster chance. Like I said, it was their 1st and ONLY song so you guys shouldn't have judged them that early AND now I'm saying it again YG won't continue with this ballad style for babymonster. They'll do more R&B & Hip Hop (as already said by many many producers and it's literally written on their profile on YG Ent. Website) so I'm sure same people who were hating them then and are praising them now will again hate them for doing that style... So I'm giving you guys heads up that if you are thinking that this is the "babymonster" sound then please scratch that... Friend, I think you got lots & lots of hate on my last video because you went out of your way leaving lots & lots of angry replies to every commenter who didn't like the debut. But only speaking for myself, I am ALLOWED to watch MVs and have an opinion, even if I don't agree with the YG strategy. I was excited for this group and I was underwhelmed by their debut. I also very clearly said I was excited to see the many other styles & concepts they give us with future releases. I love this one!! No k-pop fan in the world is going to expect them to only stick to one concept for the rest of their career - we know that isn't how k-pop works. But we're talking about THIS song right now... and I love this one because it highlights and showcases each of their unique vocal strengths in a really pretty way. 😍 If you only want to see reactions where people love the music and agree with your viewpoints, you can do that - just click a new link whenever you don't like what a reactor is saying. You don't HAVE to argue with people in the comment sections and tell them not to listen to the music. You just keep listening and enjoying, because k-pop should be a happy experience for you!! 💚💚💚

Here you are the first person after 20hours of me watching many reacts that can catched Rami's drastically dropped her high notes add lips from falsetto to next 2 lower register notes after Pharita's high note. This is one of many amazing performane of these young ladies we can percieved through this beautiful song.
i personally like Rora's tone the most as its has the most "clarity" because sometimes the other members have that cursive approach when they sing but i still appreciate their talent and how strong and good their vocals are for 4th gen

Your comments are very spot on. I really don't like Batter Up at all. But this sooo is so good. The melodies are so simple but it highlights their voices. This song reminds me of 90's ballads of pop groups. Im loving it. Imagine Baby Monsters singing this live with adlibs. Wow
YES!!! exactly that! The simple structure of the song let their voices just live. Even the video was very 90s pop group aesthetic, but a more modern visual. I love it!

Yes we all know the video will be great...it is YG. But the lyrics were everything. A fitting concept of first love. Very YG, using a similar chord structure in the chorus to Bigbang. Many similarities to Bigbang and Akmu, i hope haters dont notice like Batter Up.
Haha well it's a very basic, standard ballad... It's rare to get anything BUT that chord structure from a ballad. It's their vocal delivery that stands out here. But just recognizing similarities doesn't automatically mean people are "hating" hahaha

Also, if you look closely at the chord structure, you will discover the unique differences to other non yg ballads. We all knew they have vocal talent, but it was the lyrics that stood out for me...brilliant.

Hot take and people can hate my comment: Their vocals are phenomenal. I was blown away. But I need YG to stop giving them mediocre songs. That melody...those lyrics. It's all recycled. Just not recycled from YG songs. I cannot wait to hear more. I hope when YG said he brought in more producers and writers he actually did.
Im a hater of Batter Up dont like at all. But this song is sooo good cause it showcased their vocal abilities by keeping the melody simple. And by keeping it simple people will focus more and it gives more highlight to their individual voices
I hear what you're saying and that's a fair opinion. I said it's a very classic ballad, exactly what I'd want/expect to hear from a ballad... but that's essentially the same thing you're saying: it's a sound that's been done a bajillion times before. I liked it because it allowed them to showcase their voices, which made me happy. I also DON'T listen to ballads very often, so it still feels "fresh" to me but if I heard this all the time, I might say it's recycled too 🤷🏾♀️
