In a way, I envy Cal at the beginning. He has the money to afford a brand new place and a completely new wardrobe. I would love to be able to move out on short notice and go on a shopping spree at the same time.
@@gadaboss I've lost a wife too. Believe me when in say I know that pain. I've been living with it for four years now. But I don't have the means to relocate on a whim and buy a completely new wardrobe.

I like the idea of this movie, it reminds me of Ruthless People, everyone with their own story and about 8 different subplots going on at the same time.
Hollywood love is crap.. Love takes work, compassion, understanding, generosity.. It never just happens and even when it does, it doesnt last unless you apply yourself to the others needs.. ill tell a story that proves it.. my mother usually cooks very well but she made a rice dish that tasted like vomit.. even she admitted that it was horrible but my father ate his portion and then went back for seconds.. why did he do that? because it wasnt about how the food tasted, it was about showing her appreciation for making it.. after dinner, he did the dishes, helped us with our homework, and cuddled up with my mom to watch some tv.. thats love.. knowing your partners feelings are more important than your trivial thoughts of selfishness.. hope this helps someone that might have unrealistic expectations on what love actually is.. love is selfless until one person becomes selfish..
Dude gets cheated on by his wife, AND she divorces him. And while they are SEPERATED from said divorce the wife that cheated DURING the marriage gets angry at her ex husband for sleeping with 9 women while he is divorced from said ex wife....................
Women bruh, women. They’ll cheat and get mad when you go mess around w/ someone else. Guys will do that too, but not as frequently as women do from my experiences. I’ll never understand them, they’re a trip. I’m sure they’ll never understand men, either. Don’t think we’re supposed to understand each other.
I love this movie and watching every now and then but I don't believe in Cal being a** gives Emily a card to sleep with someone else. If you loved someone so much and married since your teenage. You try to rebuild and make your partner realizes that what they're living isn't a life and they want them to adapt and move with them.

perfectly fine to date other people if your separated. Some states require that you are separated for a period of time before the divorce is approved. Just because you haven't been officially divorced you can't date? please that is stupid. There is a reason your getting a divorce lol.
Not questionable, if she cheats she belongs to the streets. Whats questionable is the narrative that this was all Cal's fault somehow and that hed take her back.

Yeah the wife is a 304..and only in Hollywood a 304 gets a happy ending. Usually gets run through and kicked to the side. Cal should have stayed with the teacher
