Funny story. Kevin thought it would be a good idea to eat a habanero then kiss me. For the record, it’s a bad idea. His mouth and lips still hurt the next day. Habanero in food is great but not by itself for me.

Hola J Awww thank you very much for watching and sharing also in your IG stories 🤗🤗🤗. I (Geovanny) love to it Habanero, even itself. Once my older brother was working in a restaurant where they needed to chop a lot of Habanero, he was in charge one that day he had finished chopping that and forgot to wash his hands, he got his eyes itchy, so just imagine 🤭🤭🤭. We hope you and Kevin are doing amazing, we send you guys a big big big hug as well kisses from Ted 🐶.

Thank you for the videos you are sharing. My husband and I went to Playa del Carmen almost a month ago for our first international travel together in 18 years of marriage. We enjoyed it so much, but I will admit that we spent the majority of our time on the Iberostar Playa Paraíso resort property. We ventured down to Quinta Avenida in Playa del Carmen one afternoon and enjoyed it as a curiosity and a new experience but it was not a place I would choose to go again (the busy shopping district at least). In the less touristy areas like Bacalar is it possible to do OK with limited Spanish and Google translate? It looks beautiful but I would worry about being less than welcome in the places that locals want to enjoy themselves. I am continuing to work on learning Spanish so I will be better prepared when we go to Quintana Roo again, but we will always look like the middle-aged Midwestern United States folks that we are.

Hola Raven 🤗🤗 Thank YOU, for watching our videos, we really appreciate it, it help us so much 🙏. We are residents in PDC and we have said it before we are not such a fans of the 5th Avenue, we feel that is very commercialized, and sometimes we feel that vendors can be very pushy, we always try to be transparent because might be some traveler's that do not enjoy that type of experiences 🤔. Bacalar, is an amazing place, even with little Spanish and with the help of Google Translator, we believe you can have an amazing time, locals really love to see foreign people and share with them what the town has to offer, and at the same time you will be supporting local businesses, which we believe is one of the best things we can do when traveling, supporting small local entrepreneurs, because we know we directly impact their pockets, in a positive way 🥰🥰. Thank you again for watching and commenting, this helps our channel to keep growing and help us to keep creating more and more content for you all 🙏🙏. Saludos amigos and sending you a big hug from PDC 🌊 🇲🇽

Amazing, you will love Bacalar, it's actually our favourite place in the entire state of Quintana Roo, and it's seaweed-free 🤭. Hola Churchill 👋 We actually took the bus (they are called ADO) and it's pretty affordable. It takes approximately 4 hours to get from PDC to Bacalar. We cannot recommend enough the buses, are comfortable and always on time. Thank you for watching our video, we are glad you enjoyed it. Saludos amigo 🤗🇲🇽

@ForTheRoadTravels 2 года назад
Yes, it does, as we mentioned in the video we had visited 2 times previously and the lagoon was very affected by the hurricanes, but now is a real GEM. If you are in the area you should pay a visit to Bacalar 🙏🤗. Amazing, we are actually going to Akumal for a project and filming something for our YT channel this upcoming week. The best way to get there from Akumal would be going to Tulum and from there taking a ADO bus all the way to Bacalar, if you take a taxi from Akumal can be a bit expensive. Thank you for loving Mexico so much 🙏🇲🇽, where are you from? Again thanks for watching, and commenting we truly appreciate it 🙏🥰

@ForTheRoadTravels
@ForTheRoadTravels 2 года назад
Hola Vivian and Darrell 🤗🤗 OMG, Mexico is a massive country and here in the Quintana Roo State, there are still some hidden gems yet to explore 🤭🤭. From Akumal/Tulum is about 3 hours drive, we wouldn't suggest Bacalar for a day trip at the very least one night, but ideal 2 night would be ideal, to get the most out of this beautiful Pueblo Mágico 🙏🤩. Thank you again for watching and for your support 🙏. We really appreciate it. 🥰

Is Bacalar do able on a day trip from PDC ? Been debating whether to rent a car or not for the whole trip. But scared of getting lost, getting pulled over by cops, parking, and long long hours of driving. But trying to catch buses and taxes and or running on a tour schedule sounds complicated too lol wanna experience and see as much as we can . What do you guys advice?
@ForTheRoadTravels
@ForTheRoadTravels 2 года назад
Hey Elizabeth ☺️☺️ we actually wouldn’t recommend Bacalar as a day trip because it’s around 4.5 hours one way (by ADO bus at least)👀 if you’re going to go, we’d definitely recommend at least one night there but no more than two nights because it’s very small and easy to move around by foot 🙌🙌 we’ve actually never rented a car in The Riviera Maya for any of our trips and found that between using the ADO bus service to get from city to city and the odd taxi here and there to move around the cities has worked perfectly 😊😊 Tbh, using public transportation has been easy for us because Geovanny is fluent in Spanish, but if you can’t speak Spanish, it would be pretty difficult to get around. We’ve heard that there so many scams going on with those rental services that we’ve always just avoided it 🤭also, the one time we did rent a car to go to a Cenote, I found that driving here was pretty chaotic. Most of the spots you’ll explore in this region are super walkable and I think having a rental car may be more of a stress than just using buses and taxis 🙌🙌 we hope that this is helpful for you guys 🤗
@Elizabeth-io3ui
@Elizabeth-io3ui 2 года назад
Yeah the only reason why I wanted to rent a car its because I wanted to visit lots of cenotes in Tulum. But I kept hearing the cenotes were quite far apart from each other so a car was the safest bet. And, also for Chichenitza, some of the cenotes there as well, plus visiting Valladolid. But now that I hear you saying the buses and taxis are a great way to easily get around from one city to another. Im definitely relieved. Thank you!!

@ForTheRoadTravels
@ForTheRoadTravels 2 года назад
Hey Toby ☺️☺️ we live in PDC and we’re down near the beach 3 days ago and sargassum situation was pretty bad. But we’ve read articles saying that they’re busy installing sargassum barriers, so we’ll see how it goes ☺️ but if you find yourself here when it’s bad, there are really beautiful cenotes here, as well as Bacalar lagoon 🙌😍🇲🇽 saludos a Mexico 👋
