BACH & CHAYYAM
Bach in dialogue with poems of Omar Khayyam
Even if more than 600 years separates the life of John-Sebastien Bach (1685 -1750) and Omar Khayam (1048 -1131), these two genius were made to meet each other. Their visions of the world, as a perfect match of mathematics mastery and a super high level of spirituality, bring these two men in a delightful dialogue and traces a clear path to the sublime. In this program Constantinople brings these two artists into a dialogue, where the sacred and spirituality transcend borders.
For this occasion Constantinople proposes arrangements of some of the most beautiful spiritual songs and arias of JS Bach in dialogue with poems of Omar Khayyam, in Persian, set to music by Kiya Tabassian, inspired by Bach's musical material and responding to Bach’s songs.
Première at Internationales Bachfest Schaffhausen May 2022.
BACH & KHAYYAM

Amazing performance. Khayyam is a figure that not only Iranians but also the world might be honored by. Persian literature is unbelievably fantastic. Khayyam, Hafez, Saadi, Molavi (Mevlana), and several other writers have been shining among other distinguished poets, philosophers, and authors in the world. I hope everyone can read their works in the original language.

278 / 5.000 What wonderful music. I have loved Bach for years. On the other hand, I recently started listening to Constantinople and I think that his music allows me to get out of my mind a little and imagine places that I don't even know. This mix is a delight and a luxury for my ears.

because human's Creative Power Potential is stuck moslty in the lower realms of workability: the pelvis which is designed for Pro-creation which it to repeat the cycle of birth and death. but if we crucify, or "cross" that power with our higher realm, BRAIN!!! the realm of CHOOSING INFINITE LOVE, our power potential becomes Infinitely Creative and Perfectly Genious! some get stuck in the higher realms and lose the opportunity for the Refiner's hellFire down South, so be sure to find your center! and then fearlessly BE ALL that you ARE!! we are all 100% FREE to be our own Greatest.

Wars are productive, they kill excess population, help many otherwise unemployable violent people earn a living and keeps them away from society in general, boosts economies of victors, help the rich and poweful profit and by causeing misery and forcing people to bring out the best and worst in them. These give rises to stories that we read. watch as movies etc. What's not to love about wars as long as I or my dear ones arent dying.

Bullshit. How you think music could save the world? Because a bunch of violinists from different countries like to play with each other? Let's start with changing this dramatic rhetoric and let´s encourage the extinction. Mankind must end, then music will keep floating in the air anyway without us.

If the Bach is anything like Khayyam, the words are all love for the passing moments of mortal love, of honesty of heartfelt conversation with divinity, of surrender to our mortal fate and the beauty that that entails. WE MUST READ THE RUBAIYAT OF OMAR KHAYYAM, it is a gift of divine kindness, an oasis in a desert of suffering, a survivor of a renaissance of love. These are what the words mean...surely

@edelahaye

@romaric9874

Thank you for sharing this painstakingly crafted gem of rhythm and melody with us! Omar Khayyam is one of my favourite poets and thinkers of all time - a sensitive, sensible, spiritual (but not religious) and quietly bold soul. One almost feels his spirit come alive with your music. The concept of a dialogue between Bach and Khayyam was ingenious, and the execution of it flawless! Bravo to everyone involved, and may you have much success in the future! 💙
