"The Fencing Master" and the sequel, "Bach and the Happy Few," are both must reads if I may say so, written by THE baroque cellist of our time, Anner Bylsma.

Another must-have is Barenreiter’s urtext edition, which contains facsimiles of the manuscript copies in the hand of Anna Magdalena Bach, Johann Peter Kellner, as well as the Westphal library manuscript (anonymous copiers), first editions, and more.

Great video! Your approach to them is very harmonic and logical as opposed to some overly rubato and linear performances. Also nice to see your music! It gives more insight into your process, please post more videos.

One thing I love about Bach is you could have 10 more people as insightful as Segev make their videos about this movement and still be amazed.

Beautiful allemande. Your cello sounds the best to me among all the cellos I've listened before. Better than Rostropovich, Fournier and Maiski...

What edition of the Bach suites are you using? I used the Fournier edition in college. I hated it. Everything was so "vanilla". The Peters edition is more "rocky road" to me.

Can you make a video of you playing this on the roof like your prelude no.1 pleeeeaaase! I listen to Mischa's version but I feel like you may actually play it better. I know I'm 3 years late lol.
