Professional model Bach Stradivarius Vindabona MLV SN# 115454 trumpet. It is in EXCELLENT condition and is an excellent player. It is a medium-large bore (.459) trumpet that has a very open and free sound when played with lots of air. This particular instrument has a yellow brass regular 72 bell, #43 lead pipe, and Nickel silver casings and slide legs. Bob Reeves Valve Alignment. This horn has been dialed in with the professional in mind! It has been maintained on a regular basis and has been professionally cleaned once yearly. Slides have been greased and valves oiled; and is in excellent playing condition. A perfect instrument for the professional or college player. The silver plate finish is an about 99.99% intact, and there isn’t a dent on the horn. This is a true Bach Vindabona model. Recent Bob Reeves Valve alignment
The Bach Stradivarius ‘Vindabona’ Bb trumpets are made with a progressive or conical bore, rather than a cylindrical bore. The top leg of the tuning slide should measure .444′ and the bottom leg should be .453′. Then, there are .453′ ‘filler’ tubes installed until you get to the .459′ valve casing and slides. The #72 standard weight bell fitted to the Vindabona should read .462′ at the tail. Early Elkhart Bach Stradivarius Vindabona (MLV 72), Bach’s version of a rotary sound, more conical in nature, step bore. 43 lead pipe (unmarked). Silver plating is EXCELLENT.
