Bachelor Pad Update, Plus Feeding Roosters Treats-3/1/21 

So, it’s not nearly as effective as vaccinating at hatch, but apparently there is evidence that it does convey some protection. I learned about it in a Marek’s support group on FB, and decided to vaccinate everyone. The dose is the same for every bird, every size, every age. I’ll never have unvaccinated chicks again-it’s a devastating disease.

@@BroadShouldersFarm that’s great to know. I have a mix of unvaccinated birds from the feed store and vaccinated birds direct from the hatchery, and I have worried about the unvaccinated ones. I certainly don’t want any of my chickens to suffer if I can prevent it, so I will go ahead and give that a try. Thanks so much for the information!

I’ve had three boys over the years who wanted to attack me, and I would just chase them down and establish dominance every month or two. The current group of lads are all sweeties.
