Thank you Lynden. The Hornby models capture well the impressive lines of these 4-6-0s. I thought I had more than just these here, but it turns out that they were rebuilt 'Patriots' which will feature at a later date.
Old contemptables was not a regiment it was the kaisers description of the British Expeditionary Force which went to France at the start of Ww1. The survivors formed an old comrades association after the war.
