Bachmann Beau is.. interesting. Review, Unboxing, First Run! (FIXED) 

Bachmann when they see Stepney: 😟 Bachmann when they see a random character that has 5 minutes of screen time and does basically nothing and is never seen again: 😳

Honestly, looking at it from a business perspective, it makes perfect sense why they decided to make Beau. They already have an abundance of different 4-4-0 toolings, and here is this obscure CG series character that fits the bill perfectly. It’s a very cheap and easy way for Bachmann to get some more money off the license and you can hardly blame em for taking that route with that in mind. It was also the fact that the tooling already existed why they didn’t add the buffers up front. Personally, I think that’s for the better. He looks way better without the buffers and it just makes him look more American.

It's weird I see this character appearing just as the franchise went SOUTH BIG TIME. To see Bachmann has done this is wild. I think they need more colour (USA color) contrast in the face v moustache. Is that the KATO track system, if so that's classy stuff. I was given a KATO track layout and it really impressed me.

I’m glad that Bachmann didn’t give Beau buffers because he looks better without them

This is the first ever Beau model to be released! Not counting wood though, because that one got canned, both unpainted and painted.

Really liking how Beau has a functional buckeye coupling, would love to outfit a Thomas with one for an Americanized version. Very cool that it came in a block of ice. 0:33 Sam Elliot for Beau is too iconic 😂

First time seeing the block of ice in the Bachmann Thomas packaging. As for Beau, he looks pretty interesting. Wasn't expecting a Bachmann model of him.

As stated in the previous comment, here’s hoping that Bachmann will make more one-off characters in the future like Dexter the red brake coach from season 22! Awesome review btw, and I personally think Beau looks amazing!!! 🤩

I understand why Bachmann didn’t make Beau with the moving eye mechanism but reuse the Jupiter tooling to save money. All the same, the standard face gives me the feeling of Hornby making an official comeback towards the Thomas range yet again.

They can make new engines but for some reason can’t make new faces for the old engines… still pretty cool to see and I can see a good few people putting proper knuckle couplers on him

Even though no one asked for any BWBA characters to be made by Bachmann, I'll admit I think I'll get both with time as I am rather curious about them. And also partially because I want to add more 4-4-0s to my model railroad roster.

I’m not a fan of the CGI series, and definitely not a fan of Reboot series either, but it’s interesting that Beau has an American/U.S. coupler at the front, and a British/U.K./European coupler at the back.
