Just give you a heads up about the old Bachmann J class models the driving wheels are build in three pieces so with a lot running the driving wheels will Break.

Did you figure out why the Con Cor cars kept derailing? I had some SP cars like these and found that the wheels are junk. The trucks warp bad after about a year. I replaced all mine with Walthers light weight 4-axle trucks. Hope this helps.

Why is it that diy rolling stock always have terrible couplings that struggle to couple with traditional bachmann, Lionel, or Hornby locomotives. That Norfolk steam locomotive is very noisy. Sam’s trains would not approve. I think the gears need some lubrication

Sams trains doesn’t watch so we are good. Personally - I am not into changing couplers and I show stuff as they are from box so if they do not perform well - you see it.
