Joe, Joe, Joe!! What a plum … float you are. 3 piece rods (from back in the day) wicked mate, and took me right back to being a little nipper - 43 now which is scary 😱😂 I started off with a DAM rod and reel combo and fished my local duck pond with friends from about the age of 7 onwards - with that set up, I caught a 14lb mirror that was one of the biggest residents on 4lb mainline, straight through with a little float - bait of choice was luncheon meat, push the hook through the cube and hold in place with a bit of old grass!! We’d literally fish from June 16th right up until the last day of summer holidays. Great, pure fun as kids. Thanks for this nostalgia and congrats on the baby and your wedding mate. Shame Luke didn’t make the cut fit this video 😂

Great video, I just recently took my partner carp fishing for the first time and she absolutely loved it 😃👍

Believe it or not I have that exact same rod and it was the first proper rod that I bought after learning the basics on a bright green 6 foot 2 piece fiberglass rod. It's a little batterd now,I've had to glue the Cork handle back on as it started to spin and the lacquer has started to peel but I still use it as a margin rod when carp fishing. Makes a 6lber feel like a shark lol. Top content as usual 👍👍👍
