@@nuffinbutfishing I'm a fellow Bristolian, more of a general coarse fisherman, but nice to watch carp video's now and then. I once sold a Shimano reel to your mate Ben. Nice bloke.
I use a drone when I'm pushed for time to find the fish, or just to ger a different perspective of the lake, plus its fun 😂. Just wondering if you use a filter, and if so which one? Cheers.
I feel cheated. Told you the other day "you will like carp fishing in the Netherlands", completely unaware you have the dutch connection and a head start lol. You simply GOT to try "penvissen" dutch style. Best fun you can have out of the sack. Mooi man!
A few friends and I used to fish around Nijmegen back in the late 70s early 80s, on one occasion we decided to fish the main park lake in the City, we parked the vans one end of the lake and walked the lake to decide who fishes where, got back to the vans and then drove to be nearer the areas we decided to fish. Late afternoon it looked like it was going to piss down with rain so I walked back to the van to get my barber coat, as I walked over the bund to the car park I saw this armoured vehicle with a load of what looked like armed police with some kids on pushbikes which I thought was strange, opened up the back of the van and put my coat on and I heard a vehicle, as I was stepping out the van I was putting my jumper in the inner poachers pocket,, it was the armoured vehicle which came to a screeching stop and a policeman dived out and stuck his pistol against my forehead and shouted what was I doing there, tallk about shitting myself lol, at the same time the police nabbed the rest of us. I told him we had come to fish as we had done before. He said he'd had to check the van and I said rather him than me as we had a couple of large barrels of particles which had spilled all over the floor. Amazingly when he contacted the other police and realised everything was kosher he started talking about Redmire and its history. There were big apartment blocks near where we originally parked and the police had had a load of phonecalls saying there were men in army gear getting out of vans with English number plates. Apparently a couple of weeks previously the IRA had bombed an English army camp just across the border in Germany so everyone was in high alert and thought we were IRA terrorists. It was the first time they had used the armoured vehicles. Love Holland, the Dutch are so friendly, they even brought us down meals whilst we fished.Good times
Its the police officers Job when you ask him for english to talk english, dont just say: Nee Nederlands. Thats the problem with some of the law enforcement
@@nuffinbutfishing absolutely and still there are a lot of mishaps accuring on the banks with poachers etc. What do you think of the Dutch VISpas in comparison with the UK rules?
@@nuffinbutfishing the VISpas is so easy, also we can but a third rod license and night fishing license. Only there are separated rules within the angling clubs they are not the same in each club. I must say the UK also has really beautiful lakes.
Nothing wrong with choosing to look after you child. Top Guy Curley. I've hit the follow and will continue to watch your content. You got this lad!!!! 💪
@@nuffinbutfishing well I’m multi genre with music nowadays although dnb is one of my top. But also heavy metal I can relate to imo it’s similar rythems 😂😁👊🏻
The police are often checking documents and ensuring you have a landing mat which is actually great. They will check if they see you with a bivvy at night because it's illegal to camp/sleep outside here. Fishing with a night pass is the exception. There are quite a lot of rules around fishing and the visplanner app is great. This way there is no excuse about illegal fishing or without the appropriate equipment and most importantly it prevents people causing harm or death to the many huge carp which can be found in almost every stretch of water here. 👍
That's great. I've been checked in the UK probably 3 maybe 4 times in coming up 20 years of angling. I've now been checked in Holland already after just a few trips!
@Yosume2k unfortunately, the best way I have found is to simply feed them off. Bring way more mixers than you need and just stick loads in. Once they are full they get bored
Great result. Heading out there on Tuesday for two weeks to say we are under prepared as to where to go is an understatement but part of the adventure 😂 #wingingit
@WayneD1971 I winged it this week 100%! Spent a morning driving to likely looking spots I found on the sat nav until I stumbled across these and caught 2. Yesterday I blanked in the sun but found carp in pretty much every bit of water we checked! Have a great time
@nuffinbutfishing yeah can see us doing exactly the same Google maps will be our friend for sure well that and visplanner to check we can fish there in the first place As for places to stop and bivvy up overnight might be a bit different 🤣
