some people doesnt deserve ur mercy , history and present are fine example to know them for whom we did evrything yet they showed their true colours when they got in power and majority . they betrayed their own land . they did heinous crimes against us. they dont deserve any mercy
@@CuteManu312This is not true for a person who is fighting along with you against enemies for many years and one fine day commit simple mistake with heat of a moment . Only a leader knows what his subordinates are going through.
@@mukunda33are you dumb. Who are you to ask someone 'who are you'? Is it illegal to address somebody with respect if they are a well deserved person? And do you know who that is even?
He was such a honest and good human being other than being an army chief. I have seen most of the senior officers who don't treat juniors nicely. They treat juniors specially lower rank people like their servant right from talking to them, behaving and the way they ask them to work.
@@anshumantripathi7631 there have been Field Marshals even before Field Marshal KM Cariappa. For example, Field Marshal Sir Philip Chetwode of British Indian army
@@ujjwalkashyap741 Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw was actually the first officer in the Indian army to be promoted to the rank of Field Marshal otherwise Field Marshal KM Cariappa was the first Field Marshal of Indian army but he was already Field Marshal at the time of independence
Still remember meeting him when I was 14. He was in the hospital in his private ward, watching CNN on Satellite cable. My mom had always been enamoured by him. He held her hand and told her how wrong she was to marry my dad and that she should have been born 40 years earlier. 😂 She's especially proud of that moment and recalls this story to everyone.
@@sumalways dude, piss off. He was a hero to both my parents who were army officers. Not to mention he was over 90 years old at the time. If you're too weak to feel threatened by that then that's your problem.
@@mrxyz590 It doesn't make any difference as long as the person is integrous, having high integrity , full of ethics & values... Parcis , one of the best communities in India, known for those high ethics & values...
He could have said the result of WAR OF 71 is his greatest achievement but his answer 'HE NEVER PUNISHER A SOLDIER' is the reflection of his greatness... A WARRIOR, AN INSPIRATION, A TRUE LEGEND.. SALUTE TO HIS ETERNAL SOUL..
That's why in 70+ years India has become one of best developing companies and Bangladesh Pak are near to their doom... I'm too proud to say our Army doesn't prioritize power over the country's health
What a fantastic leader! Never lose sight of the grunt work and then challenging life they lead! A true leader thinks with his heart! Fine example set for highest standards!
Sam Manekshaw was a man of humanity. His blood was for humanity. While the fictional brigrsder pratap was a religiously bigoted terrorist in the form of army. So stop demeaning Sam Manekshaw the man of principles and ethics with a fictional hate mongerering devil pratap
This very line. This very line was major pratap was taking about in that film which is a remake of A few good men. Brigadier pratap अपनी haddiyan glaata है तो तुम्हें दिल्ली में बैठ के intellectual बातें करने की azaadi मिलती है मेजर.
Anyone can become a General in the Indian Army, but there won't be another Field Marshal Mr. Sam, and he indirectly said higher officers enjoying colonial privileges still going on, but soldiers on the ground have different mindsets and PTSD problems.
Wow...why is this celebrated? If someone was found guilty enough to be punished by a court martial, they've done something seriously wrong against their peers or local populace. Why is it a good thing that they are excused?
Earlier i didn't know but now i know and have to say india is what today because of patriotic peoples like them.I respect gandhi but to get peace after being beaten pitifully and slavery and being almost completely loot us.I don't think that's peace it's like leaving a resource after been used.Only fighting with what we have and not giving any, till enemy fears us is when it is peace.Thats how america, russia and china such countries are, they had their resources with which they have grown till now.
A great soldier, but why does the interviewer call Sam Bahadur by his 1st name only but not using his rank in name or any other dignified word . Atleast not other than respect to his age
He was not removed with honor .. WhatsApp University knowledge .... Yes ,he fought for pension increase of army soldiers and he didn't get it till his last breath ..some politician visited him with bundles of money ,but he rejected it ..
That ridiculous 'Ji' is the culture that we inherited from our forefathers...and we are happy and proud of that...I won't mind if you call your elders by their names like super western culture but we are proud to address our elders with that ridiculous 'ji'...and we will do that everytime
Coming from an actual MINORITY of parsis. This man has proved not only his talent and love sacrifice but also that India is always secular with all religions
A genuine leader. Politicians could and should be forced to understand how the Indian military conducts itself:- honourably on the whole and in service of the nation.
A reason why muslim are called dishonest and frowned upon in India. You won't condemn Gen Musharraf of Pakistan who did coup, he isn't a tyrant cause he's a mulla and its fine for a mulla to be bad cause they're born criminal. But a man who literally decimated armies to protect motherland is a tyrant.
Heard a tale about this side of the Field Marshal. Once during WW2 in Rangoon, he came across a soldier put under trial for visiting a forbidden red light area. The Field Marshal, asked the fellow on trial..maza aaya? Undertrial replied..nahi saahab kuch karne se pehle MP ne pakad liya. The fellow was let off with a tap on the wrist.
What a Man...his words were full of passion and love for the Mother India and the army, and his dedication and patriotism unmatched...We Indians and India as a country is so lucky to have this legendary Soldier...❤❤
Yes the tradition has been maintained since then.. Indian Citizens in Nagaland were murdered by these same indisciplined Indian army and not a single one of them has been arrested or prosecuted yet. Rules are different for North Indians and Rest of Indians..
