I'm back in Liverpool. My chosen Home for the last 27 years. Of course, the first thought of mine after seeing my family was to look after Herman. My trusty 2007 BMW GS. The weather was ideal for a ride out "over the water." A Liverpool term we use to describe the other shaw of the river Mersey. What a joy it was. Herman jumped into action after month of parking up without any charging. The bike may be rough around the edges, and there is no comparison with my 1250 in terms of comfort, power and sophistication, but boy, the bike has a character in spates. What a day.

Thanks for that little tour of Liverpool. I was up there 45 years ago trucking, remember sleeping just inside the dock gates in the truck once. Times have changed and it's probably not allowed today 🤣👍

Great to see herman turning his wheels again. Until recebtly I had Viffy (the VFR) sitting in my garage, She hadn't turned a wheel in almost 3 years so I sold her onto someone who planned to restore her and give her a new lease of life.

It's always the same with us men. I'm sentimental about Herman. It's just a bike. But at least I can justify it by having a Bike here in the UK. Very practical and still a valid argument for the time being. It's hard to let go. I sold my little HD 2 years ago. Not easy to do. It only run 5K in 4 years.

Hi only found your channel today while investigating options to do the Wild Atlantic Way. I was surprised to see that you live in Liverpool. Lovely to see the view from New Brighton as I love the view of the red cranes at Seaforth which are a relatively new addition to the waterfront ( at least for someone of my age). Great films - thanks.

Hi Colin. It's called the Strand. It is the main road along the Front of the River Mersey. And the main run through Town. A charming piece of road and recently revampt. Liverpool is a place to visit.
