.. The 'mecca' is dead .. To go there anymore is like visiting a cemetery .. A member at my gym went to Gold's Venice to train .. They would not let him pay a day pass to workout there .. They said they are not accepting new members .. Anymore it's just a haven surrounded by homeless, derelicts and drug addicts

This is my first time seeing this channel, but must agree with others about the way Jay is kind and patient with everyone requesting a photo op. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to watching more from CutlerTV.

Its great to see Jay still in the pink of health after so many years of competitive bodybuidling. Hes a great role model for those who aspire to be having a successful career as a bodybuilder and yet get to enjoy the fruits of your hard labour by staying healthy.

The guy is legendary with the consistency in the gym and w the fans and positivity. Taking in all the tid bits dude is offering up.

Jay it’s always good to see that you have never forgotten your roots. As a guy from Rhode Island to see you still talk about your upbringing in Mass and how that made you relate to the regular blue collar men and women who train hard every day, and look to you for inspiration is big.

I wanted to come out to California for my 50th this year but Seeing the videos of tent city in Venice Beach and how Golds Gym is now and the rest of the stuff going on in California I decided not to visit this year. I was really hoping to meet Rick Drasin out there but he has passed and it has been rough. Still respect you Jay and love your channel. I still like Jay walking. Not sure why maybe makes you more personable.

Yeah the changes definitely look good, trained there in the 90s when Jay was talking about the Ocean air You can definitely feel it, (there’s a certain gym feel to it) now at thousand Oaks and Simi Valley Golds i’m not that far from Venice will probably come check it out💥

Nothing is wrong with getting older as you lift weights. You may or may not be prone to injuries and that depends on how you train. Jay my son loves your style of lifting and training your lifestyle to your needs. I grew up looking at magazines for training tips with Lee Haney and Dorian Yates on M&F. Yes, I’m 53 years young and I Still lift weights. I use to be 310lbs of mass muscle. My dad had a farm with livestock so their was a lot to do. I incorporated lifting weights into my daily routine. Not many known bodybuilders on here to promote themselves. I guess I don’t come on here a lot... Keep Lifting/training!!!

I was just visiting Vince from Texas yesterday. First time in that gym. Man, I was the most out of shape person in there. I loved working out outside. Something about that ocean air and sun, unlocks your body.

Everybody wants to be like Jay. Not like Mike. Everybody wants to be like Jay.

I’m in Louisiana and I visited Golds Venice back in 2018, it was awesome being there where the legends go. Also, Jay is the greatest bodybuilder of this day, 2nd all time to Arnold.

Wow you get like an aerobic workout just walking around trying to find the machines at that gold gym holy cow , The fresh air outside would make it nice for training it doesn’t get that hot in Santa Monica compared to other places in the country,Jay in my opinion ,was the best Mr. O’ in his prime!

Eat, workout, eat, sleep......repeat every 4 hours. Jay was getting ready for a competition but still took the time to say hi to us. Seems like the same great guy these years later.

Hey Jay! Thanks for the video. Always great stuff! I was just at the Mecca in August 2021 but didn't go in. It was a bucket list for me but my wife and daughter in law didn't feel safe around the perimeter. We were visiting our son in San Diego who is in the Marine Corp stationed at Miramar. He is about to deploy again in October. Don't know if you remember but I met you back in the late 90s in Wilson NC. at the National nutrition store with Wil Lamb, the owner. It was a pleasure meeting you and it's been great watching your career. You were so down to earth and remain true. Would love to see you and chat again one day. I'll never forget how devoted you were back then when I met you. We were talking and you looked at your watch and paused the conversation to get your protien drink mixed and then we resumed our conversation. Made an impression on me and others how you paid attention to detail 💯. I don't know if you read these comments but I would really love to meet you again sometime. Maybe next year when we are back in California. We presently live in Myrtle Beach. Thanks for all you do!
