I'm back hitting Goodwill locations to find treasures! Today I am on the hunt for a BUNDT CAKE PAN so I can make my husband, Jesse, a special birthday cake from his childhood 🥳 How many goodwill stops do you think it will take to find one? 😆 And how could I pass up on so many great thrifted finds while I'm on the hunt 😄 What a great #thrifthaul today!
My name is Laura and I am a full time vintage shop owner and I've been self employed for 8 years selling my vintage finds online, in flea markets and local vintage malls. I love to resell 2nd hand and vintage items so they can live a second (or third or fourth) life!

Omg she finds some goodies but believe it or not, Flint, MI has some of the best goodwills and Salvation Army stores around. Plus we have St. Vincent De Paul and habitat restore. People never believe when they see my house that it was all thrifted. Well 95% except for electronics.

Your Bundt pan is a jello mold. Bundt pans are deeper and have a center tube like structure. No doubt, the cake was still delish!

OK Laura....this is downright freaky. I also have been on the hunt for a Bundt pan, but they are so expensive in the stores. I was making a trip to drop off donations today at Savers so I thought I would go in and see if they had a Bundt pan. I scored a real heavy duty beauty and it was marked $4.99. The best part is today is senior day and you get 30% off everything in the store, so I got my pan for only $3.50!

When the cake mix says add water I always add milk or buttermilk. It makes the cake taste homemade! It looks good! Happy Birthday to your husband!

That set of blue goblets are from Noritake and the pattern is "Spotlight"... I used to have a complete set of these in the Walnut brown color. They have a great feel in the hand, don't they? Nice and substantial!

Those blue glasses I registered for at my wedding in 1972! They were in place of Crystal...... they were not expensive. Maybe $12. Each and were from Czech. I’ve never seen any more since!

You have such an amazing ability to group decorative items into gorgeous displays; when i try that, it looks either blah or terrible! I would never have thought of buying a lot of what you buy bc Idk what to do with them. Plz show more of your various displays (or more house tours) -- they give me ideas (and hope! Lol.)

I live in the UK and miss the goodwill fix! Although I do stroll through the charity shops, but they are tiny! I resell as a hobby - to help my shopping habit ha! One day I will brave the camera and film my treasure hunt! Keep them coming!

Went to our goodwill for the first time since pre-pandemic... sooooo disappointed. Junk. The shelves were pretty empty. They had literally things from the dollar store marked $3.00. I watch the stores you go to and admire! We do not have anything like that at our Goodwills herein the Northeast. I would be so over-the-moon to see what you see. Don't feel bad, Linda, they stink here in SW Ohio too. Broken stuff, empty shelves, prices same or higher than what it would be new...we watch these shows and get all pumped up, then go to our own stores and it's just a big let down. The Dollar Trees seem to be much the same...its like their trucks "run out" of stuff the farther east they get. I might just have to pack up the truck and road trip to Oregon this summer.

Why do your goodwills and salvation army's have so much better stuff than the stuff I find here in Middle georgia. Everything I find is either just junk or recent acquisitions from Target Kohl's etc. I would even settle for some good recent finds from world market.

Ahhhhhhhh, the last goodwill, at the very beginning.....you passed up the fish gurgle pot!!!! When you pour it goes goes "glug, glug, glug". They sell for over $100.

In Portugal most of our homemade cakes are made in an aluminum mold with a hole but without those little Bundt twists. More plain. Do you have those molds there?

Those 1970s boots bring back memories. I remember my mom buying me a pair from a shoe store on "The Hill" in Boulder, CO back in the '70's. I'm not sure I could even wear them comfortably because of my muscular calves, but I wanted them so badly! I think we called them engineer's boots or something like that. :)

The “compared to” price on the Marshall’s or TJ Max tags are never the true original price. I’ve looked items that said compare to $20 and they were $100+!! Who knows why they do that

I hope you purchased that green Blenko glass carafe. It was made in Milton, West Virginia. My late father-in-law worked there as a kid and my ex-husband's grandfather was a glass blower there for years and years. I love Blenko Glass!❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜🙂🙂🙂🌞🌞🌞

OMG! My GWs never have that level of stuff. Everything starts at $3.99 and that's the chipped or cracked stuff that literally still has the Dollar Tree sticker on the bottom. (true story). My fave thrift is a Deseret Industries in Puyallup, WA. But the turnover at that store is INSANE... Like total FOMO. lol That and the ReStores. Our GWs are blecht...

I have one clear Mikasa candle stick holder like the ones you have. It was a shame I couldn’t find the second one. But I’m holding out in hopes that I find another one so I have a pair to sell. 🙂
