My name is Laura and I am a full time vintage shop owner and I've been self employed for 12+ years selling my vintage finds online, in flea markets and local vintage malls. I've got new design makeover episodes in the works, so make sure to subscribe so you don't miss when I drop a new episode =)
Watch me shop at local thrift stores, antique malls, and vintage stores to find amazing vintage and second hand goods and see how I use them to redecorate my home or how I resell them to make a profit.
I’m down in the dumps this whole week and BAM here you are cheering me up. That hubby of yours is just as precious as you. I love his humor. I’m learning so much about vintage/antiques/MCM and I was born in 1953/decorating….thought I knew how but I learn something new each time you style something up.
Just got back from a wonderful trip to the Oregon coast and was able to stop in a few of the lovely vintage stores. What a beautiful part of the country! Almost made this upstate NY girl want to move :) You are such an inspiration, Laura! Keep up the great work!
Fantastic scores! I never would have thought of using oil lamps as plant propagates, what a great idea! (PS, as a glass artist, thinking you could perhaps switch “hand blown” to “mouth blown” or just “blown”.)
The white porcelain pieces from Arzberg do not belong together. They are a gravy boat and a butter dish (with lid). This is the „Arzberg 2075“ service, designed by Heinrich Löffelhardt .
Fantastic video Laura. Love this type of video with thrifting and styling mixed together. Your styling is truly inspiring and thank you so much for sharing your knowledge about the pieces you find. Loved all your finds, as always, especially the pottery and the Scandinavian pieces. Just stunning. Can't wait for the next installment! ❤❤
Wow! I live in Canada but was born in Finland. That Finel piece is beautiful! I'm so jealous! That is certainly hard to come by especially in a thrift store. Great find!
Dear Laura, I can be wrong, but I think the "Arzberg" bowl and attached item are indeed two separate things. One is acting - as you said - as a soup dish, and the other one is an extra container - for side dishes. It's funny that they have been stucked together and are fitting :-) I'm familiar with the Arzberg design, as this company is not far away from my home area ;-)
@lauracaldwell you have lovely taste in music for your videos. I’ve created a “Laura’s playlist” based on your choices, lol. I especially love “Welcome to Hitsville.” Already loving this series!
I love browsing with you Laura and seeing what you thrift……. Thank you! PS So glad we don’t have ‘Goodwill’ in the UK I think I would get lost in an ‘alternate reality’ for days ……………
Good pottery is undervalued I love my cat and birdfigurenes. Love the Chinese pottery bowl I love copper and woodenpieces to warm up your home. Grate video X
I love studio pottery too! You always find some amazing pieces in your area. Sadly, that's not the case in my area, but I love seeing how you style the pieces you find. Great inspo!
I am in Cape Coral Florida and the Goodwill Stores here are terrible. They have limited inventory and have started selling new dollar store type of merchandise at around $10 and up .
Love the shopping to styling shots! Great to see how you styled something up right after you put it in your cart! The deer butts made me laugh! And that last piece of pottery in the video- love the pattern on that one! Great series! TY
