There is nothing like being at home. While traveling is exciting, there's nothing like returning to your sanctuary. How cool is it to be able to walk into your own backyard to get your lunch. And then sit on a beautiful porch to enjoy it. Awhh, the little things that bring us joy. To top that, you will have your sister with you to enjoy and love on. That sounds like a "well lived" life!
You are so right! I loooove to travel, but I also looooove to be at home. I'm looking forward to things slowing down a bit so that I can spend some much needed time on that porch and working on some new home projects. But first things first.....Beyonce!!!! lol!!!

Oooooo warm apple cider - my favorite!!! You just got me excited about the fall. The absolute best time to really enjoy the porch is when the weather gets a lot cooler, and I sit out there drinking something warm under a little blanket. We also love sitting out there and watching movies (and football) - I can't wait to get back home to be able to enjoy it!

Thank you!!! 😆 You are so right - a screened in porch is so necessary. Mosquitos absolutely love me, so it’s nice to be able to sit outside without having to worry about them. I arrived in Ohio yesterday evening and it feels so good to be home for a bit to visit family. Your porch looks amazing! I especially love the tall basket with the plant. It is so welcoming and I'm sure your sister will be happy to relax there for a break from NYC. We have a screened porch but with the Candadian wildfire smoke and the unusually hot and humid weather here in central NY, we haven't used it much this summer. See you in two! The tall basket is my favorite as well. When I arrived to my parents house yesterday evening, they just finished watching the video and my Dad said how much he loved it as well. I'll keep my eye out for something similar as I'm treasure hunting and if I find more, I will pick one up for you....and my Dad! My sister and I leave for Detroit tomorrow and I cannot wait. St Croix is a beautiful Island the boat trip was lovely but I don't know.about that hike and those ants I probably would be running for the hills lol I hope at the end of the trail it was worth the trip.

I took a break from pottery this summer just because I knew I was going to be out of town so much and wouldn't have the time to commit to being in the studio - but I'll be starting back in September with the goal of doing a holiday drop in Nov/Dec.
