"Mama, I want to Sing" was a stage play in the 80's.... no, Outkast debut was Southernplayalisticcadillacmuzik.... yeah it was like that. And they're #1 in my book. I got the chance to kick it with the in Hinesville, Georgia March 1997

1996. I was 22 years old. I had just made 4 years in the Navy and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. I was on deployment and on our way to the Persian Gulf via Asia for the first time. I bought this CD before we left and it was hard keeping track of it because so many dudes wanted to borrow it.
