Nice down to earth lad, we all struggle on some jobs I think youve said before plumbers are problem solvers and find a way around all problems, your right we do, so keep up with the great videos I'm 64 been in the game all my life, but great to have modern day tech explained a young of pair eyes always helps to teach us old dogs new tricks
Those simple, fairly straight-forward jobs save our sanity. 3 or 4 years ago I stopped using flexible tap hoses. I bough some M10 fittings for a 10mm copper pipe and I connect the taps the old way. Here we use 3/8" to 1/2" isolation valves and they are compatible with 10 mm copper pipe (via olives). It costs a bit more, it is a bit more labour-intensive but I don't have to worry about any service and it's leak-proof. As for clogged small diameter drains, I often use a vacuum cleaner. Pulling the blocking stuff out is usually better that trying to push it down the drain. Voice-over was great, but the "live" action is more immersive. Besides I bet that the voice-over takes you more time.
Yeah them little 10 mins job are what keep you going, its nice to have a little win every now and again, makes sense wet vac to be honest your removing the blockage then instead of forcing it down…Voice over does take more time to be honest so is easier to film and talk but do find the audio can suffer sometimes
I'm not a plumber but love watching the videos, prefer the first job where I can see what your doing, please don't go how some of the other RU-vid plumbers have started doing, showing factory tours and showing what your having for your dinner out of a bottle
@@Brian77766 it is not just one, there's a few, and it's not just plumbing, fare enough that they are sponsored by these brands but I just fast forward, and if you look at the viewing figures for when they are proper jobs or factory tours there's a big difference
Hi bud, I like the format of talking while you work, the sound quality is not as good but it’s so much funnier 😂, when you mess up and swear or hit your thumb. Also I’m a brummie and I love the yam yam accent! 👍👍
Hi pal I like the voice over it’s more clearer and straight to the point,I like watching other plumbers maybe pick up some quick tips to help make my day go easier.Great videos 👌
I love the mixed format of the live commentary **and** voice over where you want to add any useful background. But the live thing makes it really personal. I'm not a plumber but do my own jobs where possible. Totally get the troubles and woes you run into and live is best for that. Love your videos
Yeah, good stuff. For seized kitchen tap backnuts, toilet cistern nuts etc, I find a dremmel is really handy. You can use it in tight spaces and cut through nuts and so on, saves loads of time.
Really good video. Like to see what you’re actually doing. Have you considered a tripod for your camera/phone, as you mentioned you couldn’t show blocking the overflow with a towel as you couldn’t hold your camera at the same time.
Another useful informative video and nice variety of little jobs. I don't mind what format you use really I understood what you were getting at in each of the jobs. Thanks for the content that you share, keep em coming .
Really enjoy these type of jobbing videos pal, prefer jobbing at work myself as opposed to installs etc, feel.like you've achieved more after doing 5-7 jobs a day, great content
Really nice video pal..new sub here retired plumber due to health, shame really did enjoy it some days..what area do you cover?o was Northampton, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire.
It's never too late. The guy from whom I learnt a lot on plumbing, started when he was 60. Before that he was a heavy-construction technician. That resulted in some chronic spine problems, so, according to his own words, he found some lighter job :)
How did you know which if 1 or 3 was grey or black kn the hive? Also I got told to install it by putting the switch in 3 and then a link between 1-3, also I prefer the the first and the last type of videos
Same order as I took them out of the other thermostat mate and depends on boiler and set up wether or not you need to link L to 1, you don’t want to be putting 240V on a 24v connection
I think voice over is better because you get better sound quality on your voice, less echo-ing, less background noise covering your voice and I can understand you better. It all depends on the type of job too I suppose.
