A great reaction when you first said you didn’t know the song I was quite surprised and then when Angelena started to sing it I could tell you loved it straight away. To take on Amy Winehouse is quite a challenge but it would appear that there is no challenge for Angelena she still keeps surprising us. Thank you

Thanks for another great reaction, Nathan, I appreciate the choice to listen to the original too, it helps to appreciate the talent of that little girl 😊. I don't like all the Amy's songs, some I find quite gloomy to listen to, although definitely she had an exceptional voice and talent. But in this case you are faced with a 10-year-old girl who chooses a certainly particular song, which also tells of a very complicated and explicit human journey, and, with an incredible vocal understanding and so close at Amy, decides to sing it by modifying the text herself, to transform the context as well ... and even this alone expresses the value of Angelina's interpretation, it is a recognition of her musical genius, since she was a child. 😊 ❤️

The day before this recording Angelina's mother read the Amy Winehouse lyrics and told Angie that she could not sing those lyrics. Angelina went right to work and wrote completely new lyrics. Went to the recording session, did two takes and was done. Fellow angel, Les Gray, wrote this comment for a previous reaction to this performance.....Angelina herself called out he first take, she thought it was YUK, I feel that even the second take would be considered a work in progress. Probably due to the fact that she had a very short time to re-write the lyrics, the original was too much into sex and drugs - not Angelina's thing... Also, if you think she can't belt out when needed, the NRK camera crew took her, with two of her friends to an amusement park, just before this rehearsal, she does not like roller coasters - at the top of the ride she let out a sustained belt well above E5, not the usual warm up before singing, in the car to the studio she was checking out the new lyrics, hand written on those crumpled sheets on the music stand. Just another day in the office for this 10 year old prodigy I replied to Les Gray with .... I am very curious. While writing the new lyrics, I wonder if Angelina listened to the song (or at least the music) during that writing process. I am willing to wager she did not listen to the music while writing but rather played the music in her head.

Hi Nathan, thank you for going & checking out the original & than coming back to Angie's rendition with KORK as the musicians. Back to Black Angie rewrote it. Angie was scheduled to record this song on April 22, 2016. Sara her mom wasn’t comfortable with the words/lyrics of the song. So Angie re-wrote them on April 21 to make it age appropriate, edited them on her way to the studio, recorded the song on April 22, and released it on April 23. You can see her glancing at the lyrics while singing. You can see Angie’s musicality & music intelligence at work, they’re off the charts already. Her mother had considered the lyrics of this song inappropriate for a child, (might be right) so Angelina had to change them, because she wanted to sing it. She did it short before the take and corrected it in the car, while driving to the studio. Therefore she still has to read the lyrics...

Give you a thumbs up anyway, but would have been nicer if you had actually discussed your opinion of Angelina's special Changed lyrics.

I love Angelina but she doesn't make the song hers like Amy Whinehouse.

Doing this still too young to really be in the song. She's more like a mimic. When she's older I hope she finds herself. Not a copy of her hero's.

i do not know this singer but feel she is trying too hard to sound like Amy and it detracts from the song ,does she always sound like Amy
