My dad taught me to tie a chain on a couple longer logs laying sideways..lay the chain on the bed n out the back..When you get home pull it out with the teactor.Usually get two thirds of load on the ground by your splitter.Saves your Back..Nice truck 🚚
Cutting firewood is the bane of my existence. I cut 8 cords for myself, 8 for my mother and I used to cut 8 more for my grandparents. I haul all of it with a trailer behind my atv. A lot of handling. If I could harness the body heat i create I could probably heat a couple more houses!!
I love your truck. Because of yesterday's video i seen ya did. I want one really bad. I'd trade my "05 Ford e350 van superduty plus a '99 S-10 blk 83,000mi. I even had a weird dream about it, woke up this morning. I use to be a mechanic in the military. I never heard or seen these trucks. That truck blows me away, I'm very impressed.
if I may make a suggestion, get yourself a couple of log tongs to handle your firewood and cut cants. It will save your back and you will be far more efficient. Got me a couple of tongs and now it’s fun again splitting wood.
I was gonna say you looked like your back was a little sore and aching but I know firewood is not an easy job either way you cut it, but it's a heat like none other. Take an Aleeve before bedtime it may help.
i could sit and listen to mr" logcabinlooms for hours lol i kina think most times he enjoys talking to us" and he is a wealth of free knowledge i listen to him closely and leaned lots including i now carry and favor the victorinox fieldmaster over any of my pocket knifes lol he was right its all you need ...
Make sure you take care of your back. As a back suffer I know pain, sometimes it doesn’t go away. And you will need help. I suffered for months. And your moving as a man in pain can spot it a mile away. Take care.
I was just wondering if you got the bucket back on your tractor yet? Winter is coming and you don't have the maintainer to open your drive way anymore.
I am not in a hurry to put it on, it's easier getting around without it for firewood cutting. I am not worrying about getting out, if I put chains on the M37 it's about unstoppable.
I just saw that your M37 is down but that video has comments turned off. Contact me and I'll get the parts you need to you. Your exhaust manifold is too far gone and will give you future trouble if welded, even by the best. I have a 1952 M37 and recently bought the complete manifold bolt kit, the preheater assembly (flap has to be welded on) from vintagepowerwagons.com. If you let me know, I will call them and get the necessary parts shipped to you on order. I am a vehicle collector and a person who appreciates, like many others, the videos you share, so I would be honored to help you with your "chick magnet" like you already have with mine through your videos. I live in Wisconsin and I can get parts to you quickly and at no cost to you. Let me know, I would be proud to help. Rik
That's certainly a generous offer, I hate to just patch the machine together, but a replacement is out of my price range at the moment. I left the comments off on that video because I didn't want to waste time explaining to people that JB weld would not be the answer. I always have trouble with PMs from my phone, which is my internet connection, but if you email me at logcabinlooms@gmail we can work something out.
I thought is was odd in the last video that you didn't just cut and load the truck all at once instead of cutting, go get tractor, drag, load, unload, and cut again. Just say'n. Thanks for your videos.
