Chubb is finished! In this video I worked some long hours beforehand and finish the truck up in time to drive this mostly untested and very custom vehicle several hours to see family on Christmas Eve.
Congratulations Dave on a job well done on the mighty Chubb!! The hours of engineering, refurbishing, video production, and all while having a new baby is very much appreciated!!
I am sad to see this awsome series of videos come to an end. I'm looking forward to something again that you will excel at like this m37. Thanks again for sharing your skills and time.
Hi Dave ..... a real beauty you made !!! Just bought a rust bucket but it have some potential. Thank you for your videos... it will make my life wayyyy easier !!! Cheers.
This was an awesome series! I can't wait to see what comes next, it was a real adventure following along and you've got great style that's just fun to watch. Fingers crossed you get enough time to tackle another project in the not too distant future.
I want to send out a huge thank you for filming this build, it has been very interesting and inspiring, I can't wait to start on my 12 valve M37 project.
I saw you on Rt 9 in Maine heading towards Calais a couple months ago. Hard to miss that truck! I’m the one that waved at you in the Sting Gray Super Willys JT.
I just only found your show , that truck is way cool

Wow, what a ride. I started with this video then went through and watched the whole series. Incredible effort for an outstanding result. I really hope you televise more of your projects in the future, you have a knack for this. Thank you for sharing.
I am sorry to see this series end. I actually picked up a M37 myself that I am using for a overlanding build. I can't thank you enough for the level of detail that you put into your videos. They honestly made me feel this kind of project isn't out of reach.
Hello Dave I enjoyed all the videos on the M37 build. I noticed that it was a nova scotia plate on the truck. I have a 1955 m37cnd completely restored original. We are in the Bridgrwater area and would be interested in visiting and talking about where to find parts and having a close up look at Chubb.
Watched again great build finally got me one but now have two lol got a 1996 chev 4x4 crew cab duelly at a $150 .00 got use as donater 454 motor 4l80 trans find me a single wheel 14 bolt any way i have started
Just finished watching the series and really enjoyed it. Learned a lot. You're a very handy guy Dave. So, when do you want me to drop off my M37 for a few mods? Enjoy your new toy. MM
Good job on the build and your videos. I'm working on my own M37 resto-mod. Do you remember what radiator you used? It looks like a perfect fit in your grill.
Awesome series Dave! Was there much of a hassle going through insurance? Do you need a shop to certify your work? Look forward to your next build. Thanks for taking the all the extra time to film, edit and post
Thanks! I didn't have any trouble with insurance or getting the shop to certify my work. Others might have a different experience in different parts of the world. I will likely get it assessed in the spring to better reflect the current value of the truck for insurance, as I'm sure that has changed! lol.
THE 5.9 TURBOS ARE NOT FUEL EFFICIENT.......THE ORIGINAL 5.9 NON TURBO COULD GET UP TO 40 MPG...BUT MUCH SLOWER. BUT I NEVER FELT I NEEDED TO GO FAST IN A PICKUP.....
So far, no regrets on the 4.10 gears with the larger 37" tires. I don't think I would go any deeper- it would likely make my highway rpm too high. I'm thinking the engine could use a bit more power than stock, though!
