Before we are back to normal life in Scotland , we spent one last week on Mainland Europe. We visit Germany, Luxembourg and finally take the ferry back to Scotland. The question is (what's next?)
Our vlog starts in Germany where we meet Tina, Marco and Caesar from @HakunaMaPumbaa. We spent together couple of days in a beautiful forest outside of Stuttgart where we went for a wee hike and played board games at night. It was so much fun and hopefully see you soon! Thank you guys :)
You can watch their vlog from our trip here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--C0Y5BzFibY.html
After saying goodbye to our beautiful friends we headed west to Luxembourg. It is a country that we have never been and we were super excited to visit the capital city of Luxembourg which is... Luxembourg. Luxembourg is the first country to make all public transport free so we left the van outside of the city and spent couple of hours enjoying the architecture and The National Museum of History and Art.
At this point sadly our VAN LIFE EUROPE adventure has come to an end. The next two days we spent driving through Belgium and France to take the ferry to Dover in England. We shared some of our plans for the summer and the rest of the year.
Driving, driving and more driving.
We had a bad experience in Manchester where at 11pm at almost empty car park, a car appeared and started shooting fireworks right above our van.
Finally after another 3.5 hour drive we made it to back to SCOTLAND! We enjoyed seeing family and we finally enjoyed some Irn Bru and a peated whisky.
Hope you enjoyed and if you'd like to support our small channel you can buy us a wee coffee/whisky: www.buymeacoffee.com/ardview

hahaha, north of England is one big strand of fireworks 🤣🤣 It's funny, that thing with IrnBru - I initially couldn't stand that taste even if my life would depend on it, now I'm obsessed XD

Not me starting to watch you Europe adventure by watching you returning home haha. 😄 I can so relate to Calum talking about parking wherever the heck you want. I travelled in Europe by car many times with my husband. It wasn't a van, just a regular car, but even then I felt nervous about all the parking rules and green zones and checking if our car can enter a particular area. It spoils the fun, honestly. 🙄 And on that note, I do wonder if you ever considered travelling to Sweden or Norway? My soul was so happy to experience the freedom to park and roam in Norway, I missed it so much! Because even where we live permanently (Kent in UK), parking is a constant problem! Anyway, I know Norway can be expensive but imagine driving all the way to Lofoten or something. Does it sound like you or do you prefer warmer countries?

Hi Anna, thanks for your comment 🥰 it is never too late and hope you enjoy other vlogs too! 😀😀 We can completely understand your struggles too, there is nothing better than being parked up next to a loch, enjoy the view and be completely relaxed. I think you guys are trying to have the freedom roam in England as well? It definitely makes things so much easier. We were actually planning to go to Sweden but Calum's parents turned 60 this year and as a birthday gift they went to Austria. We decided to change plans and drive all the way to Austria to surprise them 🙂 it's nice to hear you loved Norway, hopefully this will be our next adventure next year 😁

All the best in Ardnamurchan! Looking forward to seeing some content from that area - not a part of Scotland we've visited! We also want to go to South Korea this winter!😂 I have students there & they keep asking me to visit!❤ Let us know if you spot any cheap flights! 😉

Oh gosh I recognise that England park up , we stayed there a few times, but only in the dead of winter when I think people can’t be bothered to go out and hassle van dwellers! Sorry you had that experience.

Haha yeah makes sense! The park was super nice, we had a wee walk around during the day and it seemed like a great spot 🤣🤣 We spoke to a person from Manchester and they said that it used to be super dodgy over there so that makes sense. At least the fireworks were super pretty🎆
