We are Roksana and Calum and we are full time van lifers, living out of our self-converted ambulance. We bought it in June 2019 when we were both living and working in Edinburgh. Fed up with high bills and expensive rent, we thought that van life would be a gateway to escaping the hustle and bustle. After many challenges, we finally almost a year ago moved in full time in our little home on wheels - Tyrion Vannister.
In November 2022, we made a bold move and quit our full time jobs in the whisky industry to pursue our dream of being full time travellers on the road.
Looking forward to sharing our journey with you! :)

My 90 and 91 year old mum and dad in Edinburgh enjoyed watching this with me. When I had suggested showing it to my parents my father asked if there was any sex in it .
Are Sanna Spice still cooking? Having an evening curry on a sunny sunset Sanna beach with the isles in the background is a majestic experience. The caldera is quite amazing, too. happy days! good luck with the job(s) 😁
Hard to give written directions. If you go to the beach at Kilaughton near the village of Port Ellen then follow the road we show on the video. Its pretty easy once you're on the right road. 😁😁
So pleased to see you are back on the road and living in the van again. Great video, as always. I look forward to seeing your change of style in videography. However, I think your filming is already brilliant and artistic! x
U guys are naturals in front of the camera. Try and upload a vid a week ! Channel will grow,u guys dont need to worry about fancy content as you are both so likeable. Plenty of great places to visit nearby
Aw thank you so much, what a lovely comment 😁 Not sure we will be able to shoot a whole video every week at the moment as we are both working full time. We are trying to upload the videos a wee bit more often but life gets in the way 😒 Starting the edit for our next video today so hopefully we can share it next Monday 😁
Hello! I loved your video. I was wondering where you get your Whiskey barrels? How would I go about getting some? What do you do in the Whiskey industry?
Hi, glad you liked the video 😁 If you live in Scotland then barrels are pretty easy to get your hands on. Not sure about else where🤔 I (Calum) work in Marketing and cask curation for Adelphi and Ardnamurchan Distillery so I can get my hands on casks pretty easily. But the best way to get your hands on casks is to visit a cooperage. There are many in Scotland. You can buy old used casks which are pretty cheap. You can also just buy the staves. Where are you based?
Back in the 'murchan! Beautiful camera work and editing, especially enjoyed the walk. I second the recommendation for wild garlic pesto! You can use walnuts or pecans instead of pine nuts and olive oil, hard cheese works best!
Aw great, I think we will pick some wild garlic this week and try out your recommendation 🧀🌰 Glad you enjoyed the video and the style of how we shot it and how rocks edited it 💻🎬 We love the feedback😁
Nice to see you back. You seem to have as much success fishing around there as I've had over the years. There was a lovely chap, Bill, who used to have a small shop in Acharacle where I bought many a lure which would usually end up lost in the kelp or on the rocks. I think the notion that there are fish to be had around there was a rumour spread by Bill so he kept selling the tackle.
Ha definitely not having too much luck at the moment 😂 Also think the fish might be camera shy can I caught plenty of fish last here but never when I was shooting for your RU-vid videos 😂😂
We can't complaint, it's so nice to live closer to nature. We hope to do more long distanced walks and hikes this summer! Thanks for leaving a comment 😊
Yes, we have ordered many times from Morrisons last summer! It's great but the time slots are often two/three weeks in advance, we just need to do better planning 😂
I spent 6 years on the North side at a small house called Fascadale. I loved it there. I plan to finish my road trip on Ardnamurchan this June. If I see your van I will come and say hello.
Couldn't think of better place to spend 6 years! Please do if you see the van, we might be working so may not be in. If you are on instagram, please pop us a wee message! @ardview.vanlife or email ardview.photography@gmail.com
Just found your channel, going to binge watch some of your videos! Love seeing people exploring and living here in the Scottish Highlands. It’s such an incredible place! We share some of our adventures in our channel too xxx
Aw well we are definitely going to have a wee look at your channel 😆 Already subscribed 😍 Don't watch too many of our videos you will get sick of the sound of our voices 😅
Real good to see you guys back, I've just been around the Ardnamuchan on my little bike, I found you van, I was not looking , hope my little note helps, Keep it up
Wonderful video Both, great to see you both. Missed your videos. Hopefully the weather is starting to warm up a bit by now. Take Care Both. Keep Loving the Lifestyle ❤
Aw it is so good to be back 😁 Tell your son just to get out and do it 😁 He won't regret it. Comes with its challenges but it's worth it for the freedom 😁 Plenty of time in the future to live in a nice big house 😅
@@ardview-vanlife that’s good to hear, glad your back living the dream! and i’d like to say thank you for sharing it, the road in is perilous but my god it was worth it and i’ve barely started my stay
Love the rusticness! We really want a log burner but it makes the insurance cost ridiculously high.. is that the same with you? How do people manage to pay with having a log burner? 🤔😵💫
Hi, we didn't even think about the insurance if we are being honest 😬 But it will well worth having the fire, gives a much better heat than a diesel heater
If you did some research guys ( even watch some other you tube videos before tou went) you would know Mull is the 2nd biggest of the Inner Hebrides and there is a huge amount to do. If you want an empty beach there are plenty..but you need to be there longer to find them..plus go out of season. Also there are 3 ways onto Mull..the 3rd is Lochaline to Fishnish. It is a hiking and wildlife paradise. Take the time to explore and make a more informed video next time.
We just share our experience, it’s not meant to give detailed information and as you said there are many great other videos out there 😊 we live in the Ardnamurchan so we’re planning to visit Mull again soon!
Lagavulin 16 will always be my favourite - the 16 was my gateway into peated scotch! It’s my favourite distillery! I adore Ardbeg and Laphroaig! Kilchomen is also delicious!
