My children are 40 and 41 and I so hear what you’re saying about how time flies. I swear I just put them on the bus for kindergarten ! I do get to relive a lot of this as I get to help raise my grandson who just started 6th grade. He says ‘can you believe I’m a middle schooler, Mema??’ I said No! I can’t. Cherish the time with your babies ❤

When my son was in school (he is now 35 LOL) I was a single mom and I would always go to Macy's around the first of August. All the shorts and t-shirts was on sale for $10 - $15 end of season. I always found plenty for him. I had to buy his clothes a little bit at a time but everything there was marked down to move.... Then in September I would go buy a few pair of Jeans. I actually saved a lot of money doing it this way. I was thankful I was able to do it this way... Shoes are shoes it is hard to find them on sale.... Great video and I love back to school time I always pick up stuff in the school supply department for ME :) I have a granddaughter now and she will go to school next year... I hope you and your kiddos have a great school year...
Hats off to you and your family for keeping up with everything and still doing RU-vid! Thanks for sharing! I’m a third grade teacher and have a sixth grader who is involved in extracurricular activities also. Makes for a busy week but the family time is also very important!

I found your channel a couple months ago and love your content!! My son started 4th grade this past Monday! Time does really fly! I tried to keep a light work schedule this past week so we could ease back into school and sports. I know that's not an option for everyone but it really helped keeping things in order.
Holy buckets! This has got to be the BEST plan ahead video EVER! My daughter is raised & on her own, but I still appreciate all of this info! It can apply to everyone, regardless if you have littles at home. I geek out on “school supplies” as a lot of people do. Hi Tiffany, great suggestions. I am from a family of five kids, so I can relate about the craziness! But on a funny note, there is three year between myself and my sister. My mother would order school clothes for her and I. But, they were the same outfits. We were not twins!!! Lol! Have a great weekend!
I am blessed as a grandmother of 2 that their parents lovingly share with us a lot, so these tips come very handy. When I was a young mom , I used Racheal Ray's 30 minute meals all the time and I still use her books. Her recipes are quick healthy and fast. Love your positive messages and content. Enjoy your videos! One little tip from a former teacher, already sharpened pencils are usually very much appreciated by teachers-especially Ticonderoga pencils are the best.
Tiffany, you are so darn smart! I truly believe that every parent should watch this video. Even though my child is grown, I remember doing many of the same things that you suggested in this video. Planning is the absolute key to avoiding everyday disasters ... and tear shed when things really get crazy or the unexpected happens. I really appreciate how you wisely shop for clothing, shoes and supplies. Many parents go way overboard. Your children are very fortunate to have such a great mom (and dad).
Tiffany, those were some good ideas. Some of which I used when my son (47) was still in school. And I have always love school supplies..the college ruled paper, new pens, and little gadgets. I enjoyed the video and I'm sure other parents appreciate the tips and ideas. ❤😊
My daughter used a planner, but I couldn’t get my son to use his. I sure hope all your kiddos use them because they really do make life easier! Have a great year at school!
My daughter is a licensed cna. She will be 21 in October. She was in sports so I know how busy everything is. I love stocking up with notebooks and folders also for myself at a great price! Love love your channel!!❤

Great video and advice. At the end of summer we stock up on stuff for tummy bugs, tissues, soup and elctrolytes and powerade etc Also apple juice is a winner in our house when sick!

Great tips! I try to have a few freezer meals ready for those crazy busy or really tired days. Right now, I have some meatloaf packages that I can easily thaw out and bake. Have a great school year to you and the family!

I’m a grandmother that buys my grandkids school clothes every year. This year they moved away. So I picked things out and sent them to them. We usually get them shoes too. But they don’t get shoes this year. We also used to get them school supplies. But since they moved we haven’t gotten that either. We’re making out this year with them in a different state than us. I sent my thirteen year old grandson four black t shirts from Target. My daughter text me and asked me if I meant to do that. He likes black clothes. And said that’s what he wanted. So I just sent him four of the same. I got him one from Walmart that was oversized. And he said it was too big. So I said tell your mom to try and shrink it, or take it back. I can’t imagine having to leave the house as early as you do. I had to be to work at 7:30 and that was too early for me. My son in law is a special needs teacher. And he gets sick every school year. My daughter has five kids at home. Three are going to school, one is going to preschool. She’s only two, will be three in October. But she’s the youngest of seven and she’s a smart cookie. And she’s tough. I hope the other kids at her preschool survive her. She has an older brother who made her that way.
Lord I got tired listening to for upcoming year.😁 How iconic is the #2 pencil? I am past this and have grandkids oldest will be 8 and number 6 is in the works to my son and DIL who is a first grade teacher. You are very organized, I worked as a RN for 41 years and early shifts were killers as far as getting kids out the door for babysitter and then school. Then home, dinner, getting ready for next day, bed. But survived and watching my kids get their kids hither and thither. Of course with a couple of days of me babysitting, which I enjoy to have the time to bond with them, lucky to have them all relatively close.☺️

I’d like to know how you (or why, really) transitioned to public education - and was this before or after you lived to New England.

From a veteran teacher....please buy your pencils pre- sharpened. 20 kids in a class. 2 pencils a week. 40 times at the pencil sharpener. per week Good pencil sharpeners cost $80 and they burn them up.
Here in a southern Calif school, every week the PTA asks for money for this or that and this year I am not giving them anything. I don't know what they are doing with it but it's not a nickel and dime, it's more like $10-$30 all the time. I am teaching 6th grade grandson spelling and math because the teacher doesn't give spelling words and he had the same teacher last year. That's two years with no spelling words if it were up to her.
