I totally get it! I adopted my niece at 6 and bought her the food that she wanted and as much as she wanted. She was so undernourished from being in foster care homes for 2 years that she ate a whole loaf of bread and butter in one day. She also liked having her favorite cereals and snacks available. Her eating was very controlled in foster care and it added to her trauma. She’s 15 now and eats normally without any scarcity issues with food. Raising adoptees has to be done with flexibility not rigidity.I am still learning ❤
This is crazy insane. Waaayyyy to many snacks literally if you’re gonna do that you should get 5 items and send it with them and then they can choose an item from their locker everyday. You already pack them a big lunch and they eat a snack board when they come home and McDonald’s a lot of times too for “snack” then they have dinner.
I have 1 kid that would give all of those snacks to her friends in under 30 seconds and another kid that would run a snack business out of his locker and sell all of those for a small fortune. 😂😊❤
I just don't understand...Harlee and Bodhi, Dash get the same amount of food as the grown kids. It seems like the older kids, and the kids playing sports would need more snacks/calories.
If you read the box that the granola bars are in they are made with peanut oil. When i shop I have to read everything I have a daughter who has a peanut allergy
There are snacks that are healthy, all I’m seeing is sugar, sugar, sugar. Maybe they wouldn’t be so hungry if their snacks didn’t consist of so much sugar. 🤷♀️🤷♀️
Y'all act like she can't change out different types of snacks. Stop being judgemental cause y'all know u giving your kids the same stuff. It's pretty ignorant that u keep watching this channel and keep crying. Her true fans don't want to see all these comments everyday. Y'all like a broken record. Go over to that record player, pull that needle up and change that damn record. Nothing but a bunch of hypocrites.
I think they def overdo it on snacks but it's their kids and they decide what's best. One thing I can say is that rather than give a huge snack box like that to my kids to keep in their lockers for their own personal consumption, I'd give a snack box to the teacher of the younger kids, and when any child in the class forgot their snack, the teacher has a supply to share with the ones who don't have any.
I do it for my 8 too. Nothing wrong with that. Grocery bills these days are enormous and feeding a large family is almost impossible. You do what you do.
Give it a rest! Diabetes (especially in children) is RARELY caused by excess sugar consumption…. It however can be genetic and is an auto immune condition…. Sugar consumption does not equate to diabetes … out dated… unfounded and pathetic…. Plus…. Not a single person is suggesting you eat anything that she is providing for HER children!!
@@nataliekerr1136🤦♀️ it's not just sugar ingestion, carbs turn to sugar...diabetes type 1 is auto immune and genetic, type 2 is acquired, caused by not enough insulin to control your blood sugar... blood sugar doesn't just raise by itself. The first thing they tell someone who is pre-diabetic is to eat a healthy balanced diet and limit extra/added sugars and carbs. Diabetes is a serious disease, people loose their limbs, eyesight, kidney function.
@@froggy0165 type 1 insulin dependant diabetic if 23 years… I know ALL about it but cheers for the ‘education’ every single human knows a healthy balanced diet is good for everyone….Every single bit of food we put in our bodies converts to ‘sugars’ / energy, if all anyone ate was fruits and veggies then your body would still break that down in to ‘sugars’ my point is very rarely does eating sugar cause diabetes, Be it type 1, type 2 or one of the many other types …. In SOME cases of pre diabetes you can go into remission however making blanket statements / black and white statements of eating sugar causes diabetes is just narrow minded and plain wrong!
@@nataliekerr1136 You are super ignorant!!! They may not have diabetes now, but most of them will in the future!! All they eat is sugar & carbs! And you are trying to say that does not contribute to diabetes???!
Why not just give them one snack for there locker so if they forget there snack they have one then replace if they use it? Giving them 50,000 calories in a box is insane
Je suis française et je regarde vos vidéos vous êtes une belle famille mais je regrette la façon dont vous nourrissez vos enfants avec tout ces sucreries quelques uns sont déjà en surpoids mais vous êtes sympathique 😊❤
and having a snack would be the end of the world? it isn't a waste, she could do better yes but she knows what's the Best she can do with the time and eating habits of her children. You are being too harsh tbh.
I have 3 boys and it takes bout 2 days. I don't get as much as she does but she has 14 kids plus adults that want more than one snack at one time. I totally get why she buys so much. I would too if I could! She's an Amazing Mama💗
@@AndreaLovell2024 i think Alicia is a great mom but the kids will eat the snacks quickly and I was just pointing that out, like she question in her own video. Plus she has 12 kids.
The amount of hate these videos get is astounding 😮 like she can buy whatever she wants! She's the blueprint for a simple and efficient lifestlye. Not everyone can afford all organic food, also all food that is accessible should be "healthy". They're a family just living, like why is there so much hate? Why make so many unnecessary problems? I feel like I've really tried to see both sides. I feel like this family is well functioning, just happy like they're able to just exist in the most wholesome way. I love this channel and I love that all the children have options when it comes to food and basic rights. Not everything has to be evil, like seriously. Obviously not all the children will keep this in their locker, I'm sure there are snacks everywhere! The world is really bittersweet! Also, this is just a portion of her day. The content that is posted is just simple, it's not overbearing and has just enough information for viewers to not even grasp the surface of what her life is like when off camera! Why is it so important to pry when you aren't even grasping the concept of any possible experience within the family? It's actually so unbelievable. Kudos all around from someone who may have a family someday big or small!
That’s actually a good idea about the snack basket. But I don’t think my kids locker would fit those baskets. But I may send a small basket with a few that they can bring the bag home when it’s empty.
It's because your country cares about your health and well being a bit. BHT, it's in these snacks, cereals, chips, and processed meats such as sausage links. It's a food preservitive used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, jet fuels, petroleum products, electrical transformer oil, rubber, fuel and embalming liquid. Linked to cancer, asthma, behavioral issues in children, developmental toxicity, allergies, neurotoxicity, endocrine disruption, biochemical and cellular level changes. Also can cause abdominal pain, nausea, vom, dizzyness, confusion. Harmful to aquatic organisms and effects the liver.
I would love to be a kid again..one of your kid JUst for those snacks. Growing up in Jamaica..my parents couldnt afford soooo many snack at once.. hence when they get me 3 cans potato sticks 3 cans of the tallest pringles on saturdays..they be done by the same day.. in JA we say "Never see come see"
I always assumed that the packed lunch was lunch and snacks for the day. In Australia my kids take one lunch box that includes their 'fruit break', recess (morning snack) and lunch.
Kids in the class may have nut allergy takes out granola bars with nuts. Puts in nutty buddies… THEY LITERALLY HAVE NUT IN THE NAME HOW DO YOU MISS THAT?!
Hey Alicia I know you have several children that have different issues when it comes to food. A child I care for would eat all the snacks in the box at one setting! How do you deal with your children's different issues? Thanks 😊
Watching from the uk 🇬🇧 hello Alicia and kids, don’t you ask your kids what they want for their packed lunches? I use to ask my kids the night before, to make it fun they would write ✍️ it on a note slip and stick it on the fridge door, it made life easier knowing what they wanted on their sandwiches 🥪 and they couldn’t moan at me because it was their choice!
This may also benefit a child who may not know where their next meal may come from I know your children are kind humans and if they see a kid in need they will help out you are doing more than you probably even realize
I don’t get it bc their lunches have like 3-4 snacks sides so they can just eat one of those if they forgot yet another processed salty sugary snack lol
I'm always complimentary of her content but I have to say that the last thing these kids need is backup snacks😂😂😂! So glad to see them doing sponsored content(at least it looks sponsored).
@alexiswagner5388 thanks I didn't know they had to say it. Walmart and Wegmans need to offer to sponsored content with her. I'm sure her content brings them a lot of business.
Real question: Do you find it hard to sit down and relax when those times come? Truly wondering if you are able to turn your brain off. I’m sure with a family this size, there’s always something you “could” be doing. This is something I’m working on personally. 😂
Do your kids have a specific snack time during their day? Ours don't, and they go from their 10:30 AM lunch until they release at 4:30. It's nuts! They aren't "allowed" snack time here. Just wondering how it is in NY.
I am in Ohio, but our kids have a designated snack time, and they are required to bring a reusable bottle of water daily to have in the classroom. Separate from their lunch box and lunch drink.
Like da fook lol as a gen xer if I forgot my lunch or snax holy Hannah I’m on my own lol. My friends would share their lunch or snack with me and I’d bring two the next day. Kids are useless these days lol don’t forget yer lunch/snax dawgs! Lol 😜
