I know we only see a snapshot of your life but I truly love that you let your kids be kids. I’ve seen judgmental comments about cleaning the teens rooms but I see it as a mothers love to care for their kids spaces every once in a while. There’s nothing like a mothers touch to know a room was truly cleaned. Of course there are lessons in cleaning up after yourself too…but there’s a lot of love and value in taking care of their space too!

I’m Alicia, but it drove me nuts watching clean up a room that most likely took you most of you4 morning to do. The ch8ld should be responsible, and old enough to clean the room him/her self. They mess it up, then clean it. You should only be responsible for the ones under 10 yrs old. That room was a disgrace. That child should be picking up, and cleaning up after itself. Your not their slave!

I agree! I know that we need to let kids be kids and that is good. I just feel they treat Alicia like a maid and sugar mommy!!! She is such a kind soul and works hard, many times it is not necessary when kids can do some of it. I usually watch all her videos but going to start skip some of these for these reasons.

Regardless of if her kids should do the cleaning or if she should, most teens do not want their things gone though. My teens have never been more upset then when I went into their room when they weren’t there and organized, cleaned and threw stuff away, it’s invasive

It’s probably better she does it at the laundromat. If she did it at home she would have to do at least 2 loads a day. At least now she can knock out a weeks worth in an hour

I hope everyone stays healthy and doesn't catch anything else. I found out two days ago that I have pneumonia and I I'm having to quarantine myself and stay away from people which is hard because I miss my kids. Everyone keeps telling me to enjoy the break from my kids but I can't because I love them too much. If I'm not better within a week, they might have to put me in the hospital to get me better but I'm hoping not. Taking all my medicines and resting. You really are a trooper. When my kids get sick, I feel so useless because I can't get anything done and it makes me feel awful but seeing you do it all makes me feel like I can do it too.

Praying everyone gets to feeling better fast!! Girl I would make the older kids clean their OWN rooms!! You have enough other stuff to keep up with!! Tell them that is the responsibility that comes with having your own room. Eases them in to adulthood. With the littles especially I know sometimes it is easier to just do it yourself. Chaos laundry 😬😬 I grew up going to laundromats every Saturday. The lack of sorting would drive me bonkers. Sorting appropriately into the washer(and thus the dryer) makes folding and putting it into baskets wayyyy more organized. Work smarter, not harder.

Have you considered a laundry service? They pick everything up, wash, fold, etc. It's probably cheaper than the laundromat, and it would save you so much time.

The kids at some point need to do their own rooms just to teach them responsibility and to give a break from so much work, you will work yourself down to where you are no good to anyone not even yourself then what will they do.

I loooove this channel and I so admire all you do for these beautiful kids daily. Being a mama is not easy and you manage so well. I'm just wondering out of curiosity & it's not even like it matters, but if the septic tank or well system is damaged to where you can't do laundry, How are you able to shower in safe water also since it all runs off of well water? We have well water opposed to city water in this area of Florida I reside in & sooo many people deal with the same issues with the water system, it would be nice to know if there's an alternative we can all utilize.

But I finally got two teenagers and I make them pick up after themselves because I believe it’s very important to understand responsibilities of cleaning 🧼 make the teenagers clean up and help you they are old enough. You should start a bulletin board of chores weekly chores for each teenager

How many times is this comment going to be recycled? She can do what she wants in her house. It's not your house to tell her what to do. Does she live under your house? No she does not. So you don't get to tell her what to do in her own home or how to raise her children or what her children should or should not do. If she wants to do that that's fine and not only that, we only see a small snippet of her day. You don't see what goes on for the whole entire day.
