@@RappinPicard totally. i think hof and purple hawke would tune very well together if they meet. "i killed the archdemon with only two grey wardens left in the country", "and i killed corypheus before the inquisitor did"
I know, right?? I misremembered that he didn't trust them either but didn't want to speak out against them like Shianni (makes sense, given his former slave status), but hearing him go, "I don't understand what Shianni is so upset about. They're just trying to help." Mr Alarith, you should know better than anyone why they can't be trusted!
IKR? Maybe it is due to the unrest during the City Elf origi that he wants to avoid further trouble, but Alarith should know better that Tevinter and elves don't mesh nicely.
Morrigan: "How did the wedding come to naught, then?" City Elf: "There were rapists. And we got the wrong cake. Disastrous!" Morrigan: "The wrong cake? Disastrous indeed!" Morrigan is best pony.
+ClaraJ The human noble origin story was made incredibly sappy and happy with your family, probably in order to make the drama extra strong. The City Elf origin on the other hand, you have to share the drama with your family from the very first second, because conditions are obviously not that great. I guess that's why the connection could be stronger, because it's more realistic.
Aww after whoever you romanced comments on your previous arranged marriage and such, it would've been cool to have one of your cousins or your father comment on your choice in lovers. In fact I would've liked that for any warden from any origin story when they see their family again. It just would've been a nice touch >.
Poor Alistair sounds so worried when he hears about the wedding. Like he's expecting some pissed off elf guy to come storming up to try and punch him. Also, I've always been curious about how Papa Tabris would react to his kid's love interest. Warm and accepting or freaked out that his kid hooked up with a filthy shemlen (or, in Zevran's case, an assassin)?
2:47 "Quit trying to get all of us killed, Shianni! Some of us have still got things to live for." *Suddenly Tabris leaps into frame and slugs him in the mouth in one solid movement then lets out a cheer while rotating on the spot* "Thank you, thank you! It's good to be back." *Smirk*
The City Elf is by far my favourite origin. It was my first playthrough, and the game just doesn't feel right when I pick different origins. My Warden, Darrian Tabris, is a red-haired, yellow-eyed elf. His cousins are Shianni and Soris. His father is Cyrion, and his mother's memory rests within Fang which he carries with him into battle. That's just the way it is.
Kennith Betton It's been over a millenia since Tevinter (according to common knowledge) destroyed Elvhenan (which they didn't really as revealed in the Inquisition), I don't think modern-day city-elves would care much.
There is no H in exalted. Also the Dalish never knew their culture, they had forgotten long before the Dales, long before the Chantry, long before Tevinter. And honestly they were better off under all of them than they were under the Evanuris.
Cousland still has brother and Amell cousins and uncle. Aeducan can have children and brother dpending on choices and Brosca have sister and mother still. So it is only Mahariel and Surana who doesn't have family anymore.
I killed Rendon Howe as a city elf and when the option came up of "the city goes through arls pretty quickly" or something like that, Shianni was just "wow, it must be my nameday with all the gifts you've been giving me"
oh my god THANK U i got a huge glitch when returned there and I was disappointed not to receive half of the dialogs. And I got too many elves with half of their head =="
I always wanted to know what happens when you go back to the Alienage if you left Shianni and the other women there. I've never been able to stand leaving her for a whole playthrough though.
@@aerialmacaroon6312 but the money was good. Not that I would ever need to do business in the Alienage unless I’m out of health and lyrium poultices but never mind that.
@@aerialmacaroon6312 well don’t forget the money glitch. Not that you will need to be extraordinarily wealthy to get everything you need but after Golems of Amgorrock money becomes a very trivial thing because the cudgel is worth like some 340 sovereigns and double that on a dwarven playthrough. Also I hardly doubt you’ll need money because of a particular archer talent that is so overpowered it’s actually hilarious.
@@TheGeoCheese true and considering that it is possible to lose the money since you need to chose a certain choice back in the origin to be able to get it later
You just have to love templars... one blood mage hurts human, SEND ALL TEMPLARS!!! Fifty blood mages kill and sell to slavery elves... nah they are fine.
@@incoRPG How is it their fault when they had no idea what was going on? If the Warden brings up the plot in the Landsmeet, everyone is rightly outraged. What everyone had heard was that there was a riot in the alienage and a plague so it was being closed off. Do you expect the Chantry to send Templars anytime something happens just in case Tevinter has something to do with it?
@@incoRPG But there's no smoke. It's not the Chantry's job to investigate everything that happens in a country on the off chance that something magical might be going on. Not to mention that with a Blight and a civil war happening, they probably had their hands full.
It's part of the story line.. right before the Landsmeet you are asked to inspect an issue in the Alienage. Once you figure it out you can go back there any time before the final battle.
That main boss was morally worse than the Archdemon in my opinion. At least the Archdemon is doing was is right for his people! (The darkspawn) HE was evil, sure, but can you blame him? He's a corrupted god who looks after his army! Not some dude trying to bribe ELVES. ELVES!!
Wait, so what happens if your wife is still alive? My male CE left his wife at home. Will she have been killed in the purge or already sold by the time you arrive there or something else convenient to keep your companions from meeting her? Because I really want that awkward moment of introducing my LI to my wife. XD
the ceremony wasn't completed, and with you being conscripted the betrothal was broken off. She returns to Highever, Nelaros is always killed in the escape.
Thanks! I already figured it would be a mod (just look at it lol!) but i wanted to see if anyone knew the specific name for that one so i wouldn't have to dig around forever and ever for it :P
+Castalia Rayne (Cry Lovely Cry) Grey Wardens of Ferelden, I think, from the Nexus. There's an IA compatibility as well, but your mods have to be very neat and organized to get things going. Only problem is that it's starter armor received at Ostagar after the Joining, and there are no 'level' ups. :(
@@mim9000 you can buy upgraded versions at soldiers peak after you finish that DLC or you can upgrade it. Otherwise you get a set from a chest next to riordan in redcliffe castle after the Landsmeet. You can also get the warden commander armor from the darkspawn necromancer in the return to Ostagar dlc. In awakening you can just buy them from Herren.
Life is hard isn't it? At least if you choose other origins you can leave Vaughn in a cell. They should know 2 things as fact though. 1 The Blight is uncurable, becoming a Grey Warden only slows down the progress. 2 They say they came from Tevinter, who are from the North whereas the Darkspawn came from the South so how or why would they know or even care about anyone who does have the Blight?
As a fully aware Grey Warden i do believe that the best option is: Be a dwarf - that way help will be sent to the dwarves to battle the darkspawn at the end Make Hardened Alistair king with Anora, make Loghain warden, Die at the end or sacrofice Loghain - Do not let an Old God survive, he may cause problems in future, maybe even another Blight With Warden Commander kill the Architect, he also may be causing many problems, making darkspawn sane, more organised, more tactical, it's dangeorous. Second game: nothing freackin matters, but seriously, besides Mage-Templar thing this game has nothing to offer Inqusition: Sacrofice Hawke, it doesn't matter who is the Warden commander, he needs to live and get the Wardens together
