Josie, all this started way back when I was little and they took GOD out of the schools! I remember the 1st thing we would do of a morning in class was stand up, put our right hand over our heart and pledge alligance to our flag! Then we all would bow our heads and have morning prayer! This was the start to our day!!! Would be better for all of us if it was like that today!!!

Everything we’ve always been taught that was right now they are telling this generation that we were taught wrong. I’m thankful for being an American 🇺🇸 born and raised, but I am saddened and very disappointed at how far we have drifted LEFT of center in this country! Our moral compass is way off course!!! We do not homeschool, we have 1 child left in school that will be graduating in a few years and I’m so thankful. Right now our schools here are very Christian and if someone is seriously sick, injured or pass away the school holds hand around the flag and the kids sing worship songs and pray for the people in need of prayers. It’s a sight to see. Our churches here buy book bags and fill them with all sorts of essential things for each kid near Christmas time. The school doesn’t teach questionable things. I know one day that will change but for now I’m thankful.

Josie, during the year I like to read books by Laura Ingalls Wilder author of The Little House on the Prairie books. I like to be reminded of a simpler time and how the Bible and scriptures were taught at home and parents set the example, where food was scarce and therefore every meal was plain but very much appreciated. It reminds me that times were hard and how spoiled we are today in America. My husband passed away over four years ago and I, with the help of children and grandchildren, have planted a garden every year since. It was definitely a learning experience for me because my husband did most of the gardening and I the canning. It is so rewarding to work in the garden and pray for a harvest and commune with God. I appreciate all you do for this channel. You encourage us and bless us with words of wisdom.

Josie listening to your video further along, I remember when my son was little every Christmas Eve we would make cookies or little breads and bring them to our neighbors, leaving them on their porches and running away laughing feeling so good to be secret Santa! I’ve moved a few months ago and now I have new neighbors, you’ve inspired me to want to spread a little happiness. My paternal Grandma always said you shouldn't return a dish empty. I think that idea came to her as a sort of 'old wive's tale", but she did it to be kind. That woman was beyond generous. She was a super cook and if she brought you a pie or something else--it was a real treat. Your topic made me think of Jeremiah 6:16, which has become a theme of my life.
I am the same way, A 70 yr old woman who use those terms of endearment and proud of it. I will not change the way I speak but guess will be more mindful to people I don't know. We have way too many SNOWFLAKES in this world today. And if we are not careful, our culture will change forever. I'm sorry to say but I think you are right and soon what we thought was okay is going to be offensive to all. Such a shame. Our children will never know the way we were raised. A much more calm and peaceful life.

Long ago when my parents built a small retirement home they placed Bibles in the walls because they knew the day would come when we would not be able to own them. Our nation has turned itself upside down and our freedoms are being questioned. That is what will cause people to lose their minds if we ever have a major depression again or worse. They will have no coping skills and take from people instead of solving their problems and adapting, growing food, etc. Take their electronics and you take half of their sanity.
As fast as things are devolving, I don't think it is farfetched to believe Bibles will be under attack. It may not be in my lifetime, as I'm a senior, but I can see it coming. First Bibles will become very hard to find then eventually, impossible to buy. The day may cone when you may be required to turn them in because they aren't "politically correct and are discriminatory". Cherish your Bibles, study them and commit as much to memory as you're able. God be with us all.

I'm 65 years old and have just finished memorizing John 15- the entire chapter.Like you said, one day we may not have the Bible, but no one can take God's Word that is hidden in our hearts and minds! I agree with you. I know that even the sweetest pets, when abused and mistreated can and will bite when being provoked, those who are mistreating and abusing our basic rights of speech and religion will get bitten they just don't realize it.
I think you are spot on. The reality that we knew as children is long gone and and everything is different. We need to pay attention to what is happening and read our bibles and pray. I think evil is near.
Dutch sheets just today, told of a Tennessee high school which started out with just 20 students for the Lord and the students by themselves within a couple weeks, have grown to 330! There is a revival of these kids there and Mario Murillo is having many tent meetings in California and ppl are getting saved! Revival is breaking out in California and I believe our nation will have a huge awakening and revival praise God! Of course, with this, God is exposing evil and bringing about justice throughout the world, and that will Shake us greatly both physically and naturally. Oklahoma is working on banning abortion, so I believe although the darker keeps getting darker, the Light penetrates and exposes it! We must prepare our hearts and our homes, but we will win! It does feel as though people are just chomping at the bit to get into conflict. Like hang on every word for the fuse to be lit. And I have about 30 Bibles, and encyclopedias, so that I can have true records of history

The safety fence is falling away. 😢 I just found your channel. You have such a way of communicating love and making one feel welcome. You remind me of my family the way we were in the 60s and 70s. I so wish we still lived in those ways. Honoring family, religion, and country. I don’t know what happened. Its a harsh cold indifferent world now. Depravity seems to be embraced now, as it seems people have contempt for family and religion, but instead revere degeneracy willingly. I feel lost in it. Thank you for making me feel less alone in it. We have to keep spreading the word to this generation. Respect is earned, not given just because you demand it. As far as I can see there isn't much made of man that is worth giving any credence to, and all of it will come to naught in the end. Little Foxes Spoil the Vine-how true! My friend from Ark always calls me ‘Sweetpea’. I am not offended at all! We grew up together since grade school and have stayed in touch. It is a personal endearment saying in the South, as you mentioned. It’s just an older tradition that was done. I’m 72. So I remember things very well of how the communication was back in the 1950s and 60s. But a younger person should not call a much older person this, is my conviction. It is showing familiarity that isn’t proper So I agree with your friend and what the waiter said to her. It was disrespect to your friend that day. Pat in Colorado
