Wish Had Filipino Restaurant Near Me , My Daughter Is Filipino And I Love A Lot Of Their Food ! Pancit Canton, Lumpia Shanghai , Pork Sisig , Filipino Menudo , Pork Adobo , Chicken Adobo And Krispy Pata Are The Best ! 🥰🥰🥰
@@guitarcovers5437 💯 agree, I’m the type of person that will order different stuff all the time and my gf gets the same similar things till she tries my food 😂😂😂
The Philippines haters have spread alot of bs hating myths about Filipinos and Philippines as a whole, but I agree, time to start dispelling these myths on an international scale.
In college we had a Filipino frat and our colleges Filipino community would hold potlucks alllll the time!!! Thankfully I got invited… soooo good! I’d inhale so much lumpia 🤤🤤🤤
"I inhaled so much Lumpia" yeah... lumpias be ghosts just 3 minutes into the party man ahahah, you miss the opening prayer or by some stroke of bad luck, was late to the initial lines at the table.. they were gone and you know they ain't coming back :(
In my area (central PH), we call that type of pancit "bam-i". Here are other general pancit variations: Bam-i = glass noodles + egg noodles Bihon = thin rice noodles Canton = egg noodles Misua = wheat vermicelli noodle Sotanghon = glass noodle (soup) Mami = egg noodle (soup) There are others, but the list would never end lol
My favorite person to see eating Filipino food! And hearing you knowing the difference between the pancit bihon and pancit canton made me legitimately say that you are a honorary Filipino Man! Keep it up and more power to you and your channel!
I'm no pork eater since childhood because I don't like the fat of pork and the taste itself. But there's a restaurant here in the Philippines called "Giligan's" and they also serve pork sisig, and man, it's dangerously SO GOOD! Because even I myself ate the sisig! You cannot taste the fatty texture, it's crunchy (chicharones), and flavorful! I was so surprised at myself! 🤤
@@Airia_11 Giligan's sisig for me is really delicious hands down! It's crunchy type of sisig that's why I liked it. If that sisig is soft or taste so pork fatty, I cannot eat it, I tend to vomit automatically because of the fatty taste of the pork, for my palette it's like very fishy taste and not fresh, you know what I mean? I'm not kidding, since I was a child I'm already like that towards pork. But at Giligan's, man, that's the only time I tried sisig all my life and it's worth it! 😋
@@clyder46 not really, in my family, I'm the only one who don't eat pork at all since childhood. Mainly because I don't like the very soft texture of fat and its own taste of the pork for me is like "very fishy" or sludgy for my palette. All foods that have that kind of "fat" whether it's from chicken (its skin), beef, even on shell fish itselfI really don't eat it! That's why all my life I only eat white meat, not the red ones especially when it's cooked like soup or stew type of dish, a big NO for me! The only exception that I can eat a pork is when it is a chicharon type (the VERY VERY CRISPY PORK BELLY FROM INSIDE OUT) because no more soft areas of fat, all are already crunchy. And in addition, FYI, I already saw many types of sisig my family ate so far when we're eating outside, that's why I'm familiar with the "common texture" of that dish which is fatty, oily, kinda soft from its fat and bits of cartillage. I tried tasting those sisig like a bit only but 👎🏼, I tend to 🤢. I KNOW ALREADY IT'S NOT FOR ME. But when the first time we ate at Giligan's and out of curiosity tried their sisig if it is crunchy, IT PASSED FOR MY PALETTE! That's why that's the only sisig I appreaciated to be honest. I didn't puke or anything. It's not "fishy taste" or sludgy taste on my palette too! That's why I claimed that Giligan's is the best!
Thanks a lot man for appreciating our food, especially the Bicol Express! I came from the province in the Philippines where that cuisine originated from! I like your honest rating and comments!
Filipino sweet potatoes come in white, purple, and yellow (orange). Glad you enjoyed the food from our culture. The pancit you ate is a canton-bihon, which is literally the name of the noodles themselves. There is also miki-bihon which features a thicker version of the canton called miki noodles. The regular canton version will have a thicker sauce since it does not get fully absorbed, which is why the bihon is included sometimes since it soaks it up.
Wait till you try the lumpia version we call the Dynamite. It’s like a filipino Jalapeño popper. Wrapper, green chillies, and Cheese. But some versions also put ground meat in it. So it’s like a spicy Lumpiang Shanghai. 😁
brother i live away from my family in a small military town with very little ethnic food, and your videos make me miss home so much. thank you for appreciating our cuisine
Pilipino food is blowing now, before it is still unknown to the foreigners, it is started in Europe then US because Filipino food is unique and one of a kind so diverse
I am so happy watching you eat rice because most if not all foreign mukbangers just tried the rice and proceed on eating only the viands without the rice and filipinos love our rice, meal is not complete without rice. You eat like a filipino and am enjoying it!
That intense pause as soon as he hits up the Bicol Express 😆 LOVE IT. You're right about that sisig though. Most people I know that have tried Filipino food loves it the best! Your narration when describing the food is on point.
I love your Filipino food contents! Thank you for trying out lots of our food. Hope it satisfies your stomach because we really have good foods other people don't know yet ❤
I've watched a few of your reaction videos. And I know when you're excited. The inflections of your voice. Also, I can tell when you love something. After you take a bite. Your eyes lit up. You don't speak. Or if you do, with reverence. Your total enjoyment of what ever you're eating can be seen from your facial reactions. I'm now hungry. Again. LOL😆 Enjoy and Stay safe.
That was a lovely Bicol Express! They make it locally where I live. They got it right that there should be MORE chilis than pork. The version they made is more soupy, which is fine. The local one would be more dry and oily. It's made like that to make it last longer. We usually make it in large batches, then we have it jarred. It gets tastier the longer it sits in its own oil. We usually send it off with loved ones who live far away and come to visit. We just almost monthly have some sitting in the fridge. I'm happy to see you've found it where you live!
Since you'll order pork sisig again. Try putting calamansi on it or lemon if you don't have it. Its a good complement to the dish and adds more flavor. By the way.. if you like the Bicol express try the Laing as well. Its really a big favorite of Filipinos.
Hey King! Next time you hit up Mama Fina's I suggest trying the following (I checked their menu lol) - Banana Turon (way better than the one you ate) - Beef a la Porbre - Grilled Pompano
My guy, your taste buds are on point! I'm glad to see people enjoying Filipino cuisine. You have to try diniguan (D Ni Guan), beef lauya/nilaga, Mongo beans, pinapaitan, squid guisado, igado, and pork gisantes.
Some bicol express recipe lessen the spiciness because many can't handle or enjoy. If you want to try authentic version, you may want to come in Bicol Philippines. (there can be a different version and some you may find it with more chili than meat) (and also it may depends on the spice tolerance) Thank you for trying Filipino food. 😊
filipinos have many delicious foods. every province in the Philippines has traditional foods, like sisig is from pampanga and bicol express is from bicol province. And many more. 😊😊
A lot of people like their Turon with vanilla ice cream too. Turon is not my favorite but once in a while I want some with ice cream. Hot and cold dessert
It seems that you look like mark weins when describing the taste of food after trying, I love watching you. Keep on trying Filipino foods there's a lot of it.
Love Sisig Na Baboy so S Tier with Mayo & Egg with calamansi in a Hot Skillet is 100% Mando!! One of my Favs but my main fav n crav is Ginataang Kalabasa(Fresh Crabs cooked in Coconut & Pumpkin)100% S Tier also Lechon Na Baboy so Good!! Best desserts Buko Pandan, Leche Flan, HaloHalo & Turon(Banana wrapped in RicePaper/Wonton wrapper DeepFried)
if you remember your chowking meals, you were served pancit canton which used those egg noodles and the other Filipino restaurants served pancit bihon which was the rice noodles. So i THINK that canton bihon just means pancit with both types of noodles
Sisig is made in many different ways but they all are fire. I love sisig with mayo, green chili peppers, chicharon and a freshly cracked egg on top. They are just so good especially with plain or fried rice 😍😍
The lumpia sauce is called Thai sweet chili sauce. You should eat Bicol Express with bagoong. It's really good. Pansit canton is with the lo mein type noodles. Pansit bihon is with the glass noodles.
I’ve tried every sisig in mama finas and they are the best .. yes eating it there makes it even better! Small place but when you are seated and eating you will feel like a king lol … gotta try Turon with plantain
There should be a warning on your channel to not watch you on an empty stomach 😂 or like a disclaimer to eat while watching 🤣 now I’m craving sisig & egg rolls 🤣 Thumbs up for you brother 👍🏼
Try the Lumpia Shanghai w spicy vinegar...even better! At least to me it is. The noodles you're eating is called miki-bihon. Mixture of egg noodle (miki) and bihon niodle (rice) 😊
Canton is the thick noodle and bihon is the translucent thin noodle thats why that dish is call Canton Bihon noodles. I prefer the banana turon but glad you liked that one too. A good banana turon also has a strip of jackfruit with the banana. Definitely look for it and try it.
@@KingSchratz At some point you were wondering why the noodles are mixed...You might have had the pancit bihon before which is the thin noodles only and theres also a pancit canton which is the thick noodles....This order is a mixture. If you said tht too then i must have missed it. I dont recall you trying crispy pata yet..If you havent, its a must try.
I made a whole big batch of lumpia for my co workers and myself today and as expected it was a hit! Lumpia w/ the fire dipping sauce is just so addictive everytime lol.
I love how, as you progress with Filipino food, your use of utensils also progress to how we Filipinos use utensils. The 1st video uses a fork which isn’t the best at scooping the food, we only use forks to push the food onto the spoon. With the 2nd video you use a spoon but an itty-bitty one so yo had a hard time getting the right amount of food in your mouth coz it kept falling off the spoon, but now you are using a big spoon which allows you to grab a bigger bite of the food. On the next video, I wouldn’t be surprised if you start using spoon and fork like a true blooded pinoy lol.
considering you don't like bananas..... not sure if you'd like the traditional turon with saba banana and jackfruit (top it with cream cheese / cheese spread / grated cheese to balance out all that sweetness) some people like top it with ice cream, it can get mushy though
I recommend dinakdakan, dinuguan with coconut milk. Kinilaw or kilawin na kambing (goat) then "Papaitan" literally means which is more bitter.. more exotic soup number 5
