+adamthewoo "Hill Valley High" was also used as a shooting location in the awesome slasher movie"SCREAM" among others including Ferris Bueller's Day Off and so on.
The level of research that went into this video is astonishing. I love this movie and can't believe how many locations you guys found. Like 5:15 where the poles are still there.
well if your doing a video on film locations, you better know alot about the movies locations! AdamTheWoo has done a few of these with the same amount of coverage. no point doing it about a movie you don't even like.
+Big Hush what detail. Pointing out specifics when you don't say where you are is meaningless. If are out on a side road in southern California and say look heres where the Lyon estates billboard was, but don't say where it is so I can go see it too, you are basically being pendantic.
+thunderclap morgridge Well I have no intention of visiting these places, so I guess knowing the location doesn't mean as much to me as it does to others. I just enjoyed watching the comparisons. I'm sure all of these locations are mapped in detail elsewhere on the web anyway.
To be honest, I'm a guitar nut myself and I couldn't tell you the difference between an ES-335, ES-345 or an ES-355. But either way I think the inaccuracy still stands, none of them existed in 1955!
Just looked it up. The differences between a 335 and a 345 are the 335 has standard hardware, whereas the 345 has gold hardware and also has that added black 5-position switch near the volume and tone controls. So it's definitely a 345 in the film :)
Great video. The clock tower and town square are actually on the Universal Studios lot. I used to work for Universal Music and they would have their Christmas parties on the lot in the same town square in the shadow of the clock tower that was used in BTTF. It was really cool to get to party there.
Dude, you totally remastered it. 1985, I was a Jr. In highschool..(80's rocked by the way) seen this movie just twice at the theater. Mj was the idol with his Guess jeans & jacket that he rocked. Gave me goose bumps when you remaster his exact footsteps! Beyond awesome job!
Good work guys! I always assumed that most of the scenes in this movie were shot at a studio lot where the "buildings" were just facades. Pretty cool that those are real houses, a school and sports hall etc. Just the sort of things for Back To The Future enthusiasts to get excited about!
God bless people like you, makes this crazy world so much better. Thanks for taking time out of your life to give us a tour of the exact locations from the movie.
As a back to the future fan and it being my fav childhood movie i've watched a hundred times I enjoyed every minute of this video. Thank you and great editing!
Took what I imagine was a fair amount of time finding all these places, reviewing original angles and then shooting those quirky, if not entertaining then/now scenes and overall thought this was a pretty entertaining vid so, good job! Found you while researching C. Lloyd's character for an idea of my own and found this a good source!
I have seen alot of amazing & unbelievable things on utube, but the fact that those 3 poles are still there and still the same height is the most amazing and unbelievable thing iv'e ever seen
Just now watching this in 2016. Adam and Justin both look so much healthier now than in 2013. Both of them have gotten better looking with age! Lucky guys!
awe man, seriously, great vid, thanks for the memories! such an awesome movie. I actually really surprised by how little things have changed, some locations look exactly the same !!
adamthewoo This is the BEST! I'm a huge BTTF fan and this is so well done. I saw this opening weekend in July 1985 and I was 16.You both have great comedy skills. My favorite movie of all time! Thanks!
Most people don't realize that this movie was actually filmed in the summer of 1984 and released in 1985! Amazing job finding all these locations Adam love what you do!!!!
I love seeing these older ATW vids. The amount of research that goes into finding these spots as well as the technical work in getting the line ups of the original footage nearly perfect. I don't think most people realize the amount of work goes into the end product. Bravo, sir!
ikr lol, if i lived in one of those places i'd be like "alright, $1 to film anything ya like, $10 to leave your mark that you were here, $1,000,000 to purchase"
@@TheMissouriSpartan I actually have a picture of the Home Alone house. There's a small sign out front trying to prevent people from stopping, but they don't. The front of the Married with Children house is in a suburb not too far away from there as well.

HOLY SHIT. This is heavy!!! .... i went to the secret cinema back to the future event and it was amazing... but i'd of loved to of gone to the locations you did in this video. Fan girl'ing hard right now ha.
I know this video is 5 years old,but I figured you still deserve a comment in 2018.let me say you did a kick ass job on this, and I thank you for sharing it.your passion for this is very evident.
Possibly the best film locations vid I have ever seen..... Not only do they describe the locations themselves but they point out actual spots where even the smallest details took place....
Marco Freitas Fucking thanks my man !! I was pissed off !! You put the effort in for what ?! I always thought Docs house was in my hometown of Pasadena California , and I watched it for that reason , but they said nothing about it ! What a waste .

You guys, this video is so awesome! I literally just posted my own BTTF filming locations video yesterday (albeit hugely abridged compared to yours), and it's hilarious how similar some of our shots are! You'll be pleased to know most of the sites haven't changed at all. I loved the scene re-enactments! Looking forward to watching the second part next!
Talk about needing to see this trilogy right now!!! A LOT of time & effort to make this, good job. I was in the Universal backlot just once for a commercial & got to walk around in front of the clock tower, great history all around there.
BTTF came back to the big screen a few years ago as part of Flashback Cinema. So fortunate that the cinema on Fort Bliss, TX is a participating theater. My wife and I saw it on the big screen and it was so cool. I hadn't seen it since it's original release in theaters back in '85, so it had been about 32 years since seeing it. Thanks, Adam. You did a great job running down these locations. I love your channel.
Wow thanks guys this is my favorite favorite movie i constantly watch it,,i feel like it takes me back in time also,,,cant even give you a number of how many times and by far your video is the best i've seen,,,you guys are incredible!!
this is awesome³ ! even the trees are still there.., incredible. try this in germany and the trees (and else) would have vanished / been taken away or whatever 'several times' in the meantime (of the last 30 years).
+EDWARD J. FOX Oh yeah its part of that whole square where they put Cafe 80's & the movie theatre & the pool in the middle for the hoverboard scene, duh, I forgot thats all just one big filming set block that loops around like some kinda town square.
Andres Mendez there starting to get lame, look at the x-men, there starting to tailor them to 10 year olds with ADD and even at that they don't have any new ideas its the same movie everytime cuz the studios don't want to take a chance so they reproduce the same movie that made money look at transformers, you can even go scene to scene in the first two, action scene ok mom scene, ok shia scene, its blocked out EXACTLY THE SAME, ITS FUCKIN GARBAGE
I really enjoyed this! I am a sucker for details, and I appreciate a lot how this guy goes into showing the locations...especially that "big pole, small pole, big pole, and there is where the sign is"...amazing that probably the same poles from many years ago are stil there.
What is time anyway? I can't put all the pieces together but I think there must be a reality outside of time. I'll bet there are some really interesting explanations and theories.
This is sooo cool! Thanks for creating and uploading this video! This brings back the memories of my childhood especially when I first saw the movie. Great job! Hope to see more of your videos!
1) the high school =Whittier high school ( north side) whittier CA( I live 5 miles from there) 2) The Mall = La Puente mall9West side of it), Azusa ave and the 60 fwy 3) google " the 80's movie rewind " and click on the website..all information their I
voted for Pedro, what are you talking about? The house where marty fall from the tree, that's street is Bushnell in south pasadena....I been there several of times........near Main and Garfield
This is still so cool 😎 and, never gets old ❤. Thanks guys for doing the filming locations for Bttf. One of my favorite movies 🎥 and, one of my favorite videos. Great job 👏 guys 👦.
This is by far the most accurate filming locations video I’ve ever seen... and it couldn’t of been for a better movie... very well done... very surprised at how many locations still looks so much the same!
question, did you notice in Back to the future 3 that when marty comes back with the time machine, doc never quotes the fact that "Marty we have to fix the time machine for 1985 because I just buried the other time machine in an abandoned mine, so in some ways there are 2 time machines"
mr_ buzz Plus, if they disturbed the buried delorean, then marty would have never found it in 1955 and wouldn't be able to go back to 1885, and we'd have a major paradox! (you know, one of those universe destroying things doc talked about :P)
mr_ buzz this is true about the first delorean being buried and needing to be undisturbed but couldn't they fix the seconds fuel line and use the fuel from the buried one. that always got on my nerves.
rofl lmfao ***** The phrase of "laws" you have misinterpreted. The general ignorance displayed is very, ever so amusing. I obviously wrote that comment when I was pist.
