Sad that availability of taro is diminished in stores and along roadsides. Cultural destruction is so bad in today's world.

Very educational video and a real eye opener for people like us who don't eat taro as a staple food!! For us Asians, rice is our staple food. Well done in your video, loved it!!😍

Who built the terracing? The Tahitian conquered the Menehune and the Menehune conquered the Mu. Alex Pua said the terracing was here when the Tahitian arrived. It could be many thousands of years old.

After Hawaiians started mixing flour with their poi in the old days to make more poi, they started getting bigger. Poi is a healthy food, but not when it's mixed with flour. I'm not trying to talk down to Hawaiians. I consider myself to be Hawaiian. That's what my Hawaiiana teacher told us. I'm Chinese, Hawaiian, Maori, and Samoan. Born and raised in the Territory of Hawaii. I just want to say this to prevent misunderstandings. I'm really glad to see what you guys do here... I wish, I had land like you guys. You guys so lucky... Mahalo Nui Loa for sharing!
