I have been drawi gsinve I remember and I call. Myself a craftsman, cause I'm tired of art. I think the word is loosing its meaning like you say, people call themselves artists, everybody today is an artist. I learn and want to know my craft the best way possible and I will hunk that takes you to the level when you are the artist

I seriously love everything this guy does! However... I cant get to italy. Does anyone know of traditional style artists that do anywhere near as good as work as Samuel in the US?

He does do guest spots, I'm sure he's worked in NY, I got tattooed by him in London, you just need to keep an eye on his website for news on when he's travelling, he gets booked up quick so you have to get in there fast

Just about everyone. But specifically: Northern Liberty Tattoo, Philadelphia Smith Street Tattoo Parlour, NY Redemption Tattoo in Cambridge Ma Rock of Ages, Austin, TX Green Point Tattoo Company, NY Kings Avenue Tattoo, Long Island and Manhattan Also, just about any shop in Portland, OR, LA, Seattle NYC, Austin, Nashville and most places in between. Traditional is the very first thing any tattooist who has done an apprenticeship learns in the States.

How can somebody be such an amazing artist and so good at what they do and be so full of crap.. there's no art anymore.. just because he's scared to just close his eyes open them and draw what he saw doesn't mean there's no art anymore. He chose a form of tattooing with a long history that is amazing but it is full of rules everything is chosen for you the colors you use what line weights how things are put together... It allowed him to do a ton of studying so he could know inside and out all the designs from multiple decades that he could then tweak and make his own because when it comes down to it he is scared of art and has chosen the path that allows him the least amount of risk creatively ...that's the truth!! Traditional tattooing is amazing but art is still alive!
