You definitely notice a difference between EFI and carbs. EFI has much more faster throttle response. I remember the single cylinder days where you only ever needed full throttle or nothing.

I have pretty much that exact sled she's using to demonstrate but I still find "jockey throttle" works fine. 2 strokes don't run right with smooth throttle

Watching this 4 years later. Still riding my old school RMK with carbs. Throttle input can’t be taught because each person has a different feel for what the sled is doing and how it responds to throttle input. Some sleds with certain tracks need a little more of that “jockey” throttle as you put it, simply because they’re not as responsive to subtle throttle inputs. It takes time and understanding of the specific sled that you’re riding in order to perfect throttle input

I went from skidoo to a 4 stroke nytro, the torque curve and throttle is totally different. But with that said ill take the added weight that comes with a much longer maintenance interval and lower operating cost.

This was very helpful, I'd never heard of the term track blow out, I never thought about it that way either, keep up the good work
