In this video Jeff and a few friends spot a couple bears 2 miles away, they make a plan and move in for a 12 hour stalk. When things all come together the boys are in for one wild night deep into the backcountry of Washington state! Washington fall bear hunting has become something we absolutely love and look forward to!

Great hunt story! I loved the podcast and couldn't wait to see the video. You've taken me from not wanting to hunt bears to just being so gassed to go hunt them. But not necessarily out in BFE. ;-). Side note: I was hiking up a nasty ridge in Iceland to see the erupting volcano on this same night.

Great job on getting that tag filled. I'm sure that's one hunt you'll never forget. So, out of curiosity what kind of dispenser/apparatus is it y'all are getting your coffee fix in the jet boil through? I've never seen that before.

Gotta respect your tenacity, but you guys are working WAY too hard for a bear! I'd pack a deer (any species) of a lifetime that far, but a bear? They're too easy to come by way closer to the road.

Regulations reads Immediately upon Harvest of animal. As soon as I got to him to harvest him I punched my tag. Completely within regulation.

I wish both shots were shown. It feels disingenuous like it was edited to hide the reality that bad shots happen. Gotta own it IMO

There was no bad shot imo they did not see the bear moving and you could see the impact that was a great shot and they do own there shots.

@@sabertachet great catch, totally missed the bear limping until you mentioned it. That does make it feel disingenuous when bad shots are edited out to only show the “smoked him” shot.

711 yards is simply killing, not hunting. I hate to see these ELR hunts - no respect for the animal. Sad that our technology has led us to this where a person can shoot 1/4 to 1/2 mile away to kill an animal. Just because we have the technology doesn't necessarily mean it is the ethical thing.
