Yeah, I would agree with that. There are few nice cuts in there, but definitely not a lot. Catching that brook was a fluke, I hooked into him while reeling in my line. Not really sure how to fish for them in lakes.

@@Fishthe406 brookies are best in october there they school around the inlet there and i dont mind sharing this because they are invasive ther and have destroyed that lake. There are some decent sized ones but nothing compares to gtown not even close so when i say big its only speaking relatively when you start catching them up and over 6lbs then alpine lake brookies are small. Good luck buddy I cant wait to start hitting up big macks on flathead in the shallows i missed a couple 20+lbers on the tip of yellow bay last oct. stripping bunny strips but they arent schooling much in the shallows anymore they mainly stay in 35 to 60 fow beause they are getting hammered throughout mack days. You should do some more vids on catching macks!

Maybe I’ll go back next month and try it again, I rarely fish that side of the lake. Yeah, I want to try Gt for all the monster fish. I think end of next month they start to run a little shallow, I want to try it again. My buddy Jason lost a 10 pounder on his fly rod which is too bad.

@@Fishthe406 Gtown doesnt really have monster fish... it used too until they started manageing it as a put and take fishery dropping a quarter million trout in it a year and although there is enough biomass to support a trophy fishery it doesnt have the ability to support that many fish and still maintain a trophy status. The brookies I would say are trophies to an extent the largest are pushing 6lbs with some close to 7lbs but if you are saying your friend almsot lost a 10lb brookie @ gtown he needs to subtract 5lbs at least because there is no such thing but as far as a fish that big he may have hooked into a laker washed in from silver lake which the fwp may net only 2 in a single year so the odds are incredibly low for that to even happen. Other than that i dont think even a 10lb rainbow has come out of there in a very very long time. When the brookies go on the spawn in gtown its nowhere near the ease to catching them as the bows are i have seen 50 guys lined up and maybe 1 or 2 guys catch a couple. Sometimes they get aggressive but it depends on the day.

I should have been more clear, I meant he lost a 10lbs lake trout out on Flathead lake. We have never fished gt yet.
