Nice job on the review. Seek Outside does a poor job of showing usable interior space in most of their videos. Torn between this and a wall tent as a dedicated base camp shelter. The 12 man would be nice from an ease of set up and "not eat up truck bed space stand point". Have you used this shelter in later seasons with snow load yet?

Thanks for the review not many on the larger SO tipi’s. Been eyeing a 12 or 16 SO for 4 guys for WY elk.

How well does that stove disassemble? Can those pipes just funnel into another? Seems pretty handy if they can. Curious how much space that takes up when you’re packing out.

We put the tent in a compression bag and takes up about the space of a small sleeping bag. There is only one pole, it breaks down and takes up the space of about a small one person backpacking tent. And below is a video of the stove pipe. There were 4 of us and we just each carried something. Very cool! Did you guys hike this in or use horses? Looking at 8p for all around use and packing in on back but Cimarron and Redcliff look quite a bit lighter.

Thanks! Yeah we hiked in. It has tons of room! Lots of gear and 4 people with a stove. It’s basically 23’ across. So it’s pretty big. We are thinking about purchasing the Cimarron. A bit lighter especially for a early season hunt. Extremely easy to put up and take down.

@@OutdoorHighlife That is awesome! I’m looking at a Cimarron and 8 man to cover everything. The Redcliff is interesting too what is making you lean towards Cimarron over Redcliff?

The Redcliff comes in at 3lbs 7oz and the Cimarron is at 2lbs 7oz. A lot of times it’s just two of us and that pound makes a difference when hiking in.👍 we can also turn the 16 man into a 12 man if needed.
