Full video of setting up, rigging, and lifting the loader backhoe with our Miller Industries, Century 1150R Rotator towing and recovery unit #11 "Tator", for our display at this year's, 2021, SEMO (Southeast Missouri) District Fair. We use one of our spreader bars, endless loop slings, and other rigging to lift this John Deere 310K EP 4X4 machine. As always, thanks for watching and God bless!!!

The sign of a wise, mature man; acknowledging that we all make mistakes sometimes, no matter how old and experienced we are. Pity our politicians don't seem to be able to grasp this concept. Well done Ron, we need more men like you. Tech question. Why do you not lubricate the threads of the D shackle pins? I notice there is always a thin powder coating of rust on the pins.

Greetings from the UK, Ron. Glad that you're back at the SEMA fair again. It's as well that John Deere didn't decide to 'dig in'!! Joking aside, another excellent PR opportunity to showcase the 'Tator's capabilities. I would imagine that the fair is an excellent means for building a rapport with the local community and 'drum up' new business. It's unfortunate that Ethan's now at college and can't help for the time being. I'd imagine that you're looking forward to the day he returns and joins the 'family firm' 'full time'. Doubtless he'll be a great asset. Don't make him less of a big miss though, but you must be proud of the lad for all that! Keep on trucking, keep safe and, more importantly, God bless!!

Recently saw some footage of a company using two Rotator trucks to lift an ex-railroad freight wagon but without having a remote unit set up. Given how much extra versatility it offers, especially when working solo, it seems to me the extra money spent on having it fitted would more than pay for itself after a short time.

That was great to watch. Saw that wad of keys you have. My late husband used to work for an equipment rental company and had a key to every machine they rented. I do believe yours is bigger. My husband used to hook them to his belt loop but had to wear a belt or they would pull his pants down. He called me and had me bring his belt to him the first time he hooked them on. Watching all you go thru all you have to do for the lift was very interesting. What a mess, hope the people at the fair appreciated it and thank goodness you didn’t get a call that needed the rotator! It seemed like it was a full days work to just get it rigged up and ready to lift

Boy that is some cluster of keys you have there. Reminds me of my dad needing various keys associated with his firefighting days. He used a belt loop holder for his. I suspect you would loose your britches on all those! Ron the use of the concrete pads: Is it because you do not what the stabilizers/outriggers to dig into the asphalt?
@andymcneil8182
@andymcneil8182 2 года назад
Yes the pads are to protect the concrete from the weight of the outriggers and to help further stabilize the truck. It's the same reason why you will see Firetrucks that have ariel devices use similar pads on their outriggers
@anthonystike6034
