Damn, i have to modify the firmware of my ps3 already, had it for a long time, had to replace the HDD and lost all my saves, this is gonna help me get the roms without going to some sketchy website, great video :)

For anyone that is still having issues with seeing the ISO file in their backup location, and If you've already done the "show hidden files" option, go into Folder Options > View tab > uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" and they should become visible. Hope this helps.

@@obi-wankenobi4337 don’t know if it helps now but I made sure I put the game into the console after I clicked multi man If it still didn’t work I went to root manager and the game appeared there I just copied it from there to either my usb or console (hdd)

I do this and it looks like it works fine, but it goes at 0.01 mb/s. Its so slow, is there a fix? (Doing this with ps1 game)

One incredible thing, which I want to confirm as well, when any PS3 is hacked with Multiman, basically IT CAN play PS2 discs, by way of literally ripping the disc off of your PS3 drive and then pressing play. It's pretty much the same thing. PS1's obviously play without ripping needed at all. Can anybody confirm this marvelous revelation? Lol thanks :D

I have jailbreak ps3 rebug 4.84 Rex edition swapped to Dex, so which ps3 game format supports? Pkg, disk image file or ISO? I tried ISO but didn't supported, and in which location need to put the game or game folder?

The PS3 Slim does not support PS2 discs due to the absence of the Emotion Engine processor and PS2 Graphics synthesizer that were present on the Fat PS3 so there might be some gameplay issues when playing PS2 ISO's. Does Multi-man have a PS2 emulator that allows you to play PS2 ISO's on a PS3 Slim without any gameplay issues with the PS1/PS2 Smoothing feature working with it?

Doesn't the netemu make that irrelevant? It's not as compatible as the hardware BC, but it should be compatible with all PS3 models

Having some issues with onmusha dawn of dreams comes with two disk 1 and 2. Tried creating a iso through imageburn and through multiman but with some errors. tried some iso's online but no avail. it gets stuck on 99% and I eventually press circle to back out. but it plays just don't know how effectively it will play all the way.

Jonathan Nevarez because it can’t do perfect emulation of PS2 games I’ve gotten Simpsons hit & run to work perfectly and kingdom hearts 2 final mix by turning the PS2 ISO files into PKG files licensed to my console/PSN ID.

Might not be perfect, but from your answer, it can be done. I know there's a list that tells you which games should work. Just need a video that shows better how to do it. I've tried but been unsuccessful.

Hi, I create ISO files from PS3 disks, on the 128GB USB stick formatted Fat32 I don't see the .ISO files but only Iscue and PNG files, even if I enable View Hidden Files, same result even if I copy the files to PC with Win 10 Pro, I have the same result, how do I resolve it?

I went through all the steps, and got my game backed up on my usb. However, I can't see any of the large files, even with 'show hidden items' enabled. I can tell that they're there (the folder is 44 GB in size), but all I can see are two little files. Any suggestions?

Just an FYI: If, after a few tries with a Ps1/Ps2 game, it fails to create the iso, it could be because the disc has some degree of disc rot in which case, this won't work

With PS2 games, can you do this with a non-backwards compatible PS3? Does it work with PS1 and PS2 imports too? Also when you hit triangle, one of the options is "load". Does this let you load PS2 discs and import discs on a non-backwards compatible PS3?

PS1 iso in Multiman is supported. For PS2 and PSP you need the iso to be encrypted and use the classics emulator in the PS3HEN

Ian Alcantara or you can just sign them to PKG files and Sign them to your console ID idk about PSP games tho not a lot of them are compatible.

I need help! Multiman does not recognize MGS 2 Sons of Liberty on PS2, but he recognizes MGS Special Missions for PS1 I am creating an ISO right now. Why it does not recognize MGS 2? Can you help? I am trying to save the ISOS on the HDD not on the USB. EDIT: I have managed to copy Tekken Tag Tournament as an ISO, although I can not play fluently, which is another problem I need help too. Could it be, that Tekken was recognized because the reading side is blue? Just a guess, still I need help, I am kinda new in the Jailbreak scene!

Can you play ps2 iso”s via multi man with any ps3? I thought the early revisions of ps3 were the only models that had ps2 backwards compatibility.

If you have cfw. In HEN its different, you need to convert the ps2 iso into encrypted format and use the classics emulator.

I had that happen to me but not the same game though. Somehow I did try again installed PS3 hen again and Installed a few pkgs and it worked creating the iso. Now all I have too do is patch it to ISO.BIN.ENC. I don't know why it worked this time it is sooooooooo.... weird.

my ps3 doesnt read my ps2 disc and it just says "playstation 2 disc". ive done an iso of it an it doesnt have an image, it doesnt even have a name it's just the date. i tried loading it with managunz but it doesnt anything.

ok so i kinda fixed it? ig.. so i burned the iso of the disc on my pc and then used an ftp connection to my ps3 (using multiman) to transfer that iso image to my ps3's hdd0/PS2ISO folder. that fixed it for me and i can play these games just fine with managunz. the ftp connection just takes a while. i suppose you could do it with a usb stick too but some ISOs are larger than 4GB so only option is FTP in that case.

oh uh to burn the iso image off of the disc you can use ImgBurn. i used Daemon advanced (i cant remember the 100% correct name anymore) and that worked too so ig as long as you can burn an ISO image of the disc, everything should be ok. ImgBurn gives me a virus warning tho so i cant/dont want to use that.

Just for clarity if you have a non backwards compatible old fat boi Ps3 there is no way for it to read and copy the ISO to the Hdd? You will have to create the ISO on PC and transfer it over?

Can't say I tried it, but if the PS3 Slim isn't compatible with PS2 games, don't expect PS2 backups to work either...

@@toblerone1729 What do you mean? He can clearly rip a PS2 disc using Multiman on his PS3 and play it, no matter what model his PS3 is. If it's hacked with Multiman he can do it.

In HEN you need the ps2 iso to be encrypted format which is compatible in the ps2 classics emulator

No just ps3 iso. But if you want you can use other file managers like Irisman and ManaGunz

@@adrenalinex4 Yes that too. I think you can only play PS3 games in a NTFS hdd in most of the file managers.

I seem to be having an issue with getting my computer to actually show the ISO files for PS3. I have windows 7 and have show hidden files turned on the in folder options, but it still doesn't show the ISO. When I right click on the folder is actually says there are 4 files but still only shows the 2, and also shows the full 7GB files size as well. Does anyone happen to know what to do here?

One solution I found for this was: 1. With Multiman copy the ISO in your ps3. 2. Using FTP on the PC, extract the ISO (the file shows up there). That worked to me.
